When my wife works in the morning and I can mess around on the net and have cake for breakfast. I love her to death...but I'm SOOOO tired of Oatmeal....
There is nothing wrong with appreciating your personal time. I think a little bit of time apart is essential, lest we all go crazy.

On Wednesday (yeah, this one's a little late), I played my first ever actual music gig. A local folk trio were making an appearance with a few other acts, but one of the guys backed out at the last minute, and they needed a guitar player. I practiced my ass off for a week, and was able to fill in decently for the show.

It seems to me we could all use a bit of the positive in our lives. I know I could. This is the place to list good things in or going on in your life. Despite the frustrations, there is always something good going on, isn't there?
Good things for me from today:
An hour long walk with my 3 year old Bryce and an unexpected call for an interview on Friday for a job that I really want/need.
Good things huh?
Watching my youngest play with his dump truck on the floor, my four year old asking if she can play Vampire wars at facebook, and my six year old stealing his daddy's Dragon magazines so that he can read them...he wants to play so desperatly!Past that....cold drink at the end of a long week, a broke in pair of jeans, sandals, and a day off!

It's good to have someone who can recognize it is happening and be able to pull you out of it. I'm fortunate that my wife can do both.
Congrats on the gig, too!

My copy of The Temple of Elemental Evil just showed up. That means that I now have all 3 mega-modules for the 1 edition days of TSR. Also, My copies of Dragon Magazine 35-44 should be in soon, which means that I will have Dragon Magazine 35 to 359, all 5 Best of., and all 6 annuals. Plus I also have Dungeon Magazine 1 to 150. ~grumbles~ Now I just need to bag and board them all. Oh joy.

Also, My copy of DCC # 39 - The Ruins of Castle Churo, Level Up # 1, and Points of Light came in as well today.
All I can say is that I hope that Paizo does as good a job on their DM's Screen as GoodMan Games did with the DM Screen that was in with DCC # 39 - Castle Churo.

Oh no, I used to work in the same code as most of them. I love those guys. Visit them every day. It was just amusing (and distracting) to see the flooding.
I tried to convince my boss that I needed to go home because I was having traumatizing Katrina flashbacks, until he remembered that I had moved away from New Orleans before 2005.

It is very amusing to watch your friends suffer slightly! My best friend has such a bad cold that this morning she walked straight into a wall...it was hilarious!

My good thing for the day: A really great cup of coffee. With a snickerdoodle.
I have the good coffee...but no cookies :(
My mom used to make the best snickerdoodles!

I specialize in unusual fruit pies. My grape pie is probably my best, but I also make really good pear pie and plum pie too.
~wicked smile~ Does you hubby sing "She's my Cherry Pie" to you at all? ~grins and DUCKS~

Lol :) Yeah, he's forbidden to sing due to being tone deaf. And overly fond of Warrant. All hair bands really. Kinda ruined that type of music for me. ;)
