If you rolled like that in my game you wouldn't be lying around half-dead
Ruuz snaps awake, Was that the door? He rolls over and notices Brick sitting next to the door still. Well thats good, nothing storming in to get us.
Then Ruuz notices the Beren and Sari are missing and he smiles Well it looks like maybe they found an extra room so they could get to know each other better.
Ruuz rolls over again and closes his eyes Lucky shifter.

Sari and Beren leave in the "night" to explre further down the main corridor. The next intersection they come to is a cross road of the overly large passages obvioulsy made for the giants.
The architecture is imposing for its size and impressive for its craftsmanship. Some fifty feet above your heads you see the pure light radiating from an enchanted Dragonshard, unfaded by the intervening years.
The main passage continues ahead of you, and you can just make out what looks to be an end to the corridor several hundred feet further down. To either side identical passages cut into the heart of the earth. You can see that they clearly curve around as they go, and a quick estimate indicates that they encircle the central chamber you explored before.
In niches in the four corners, a single statue of a giant stands. Three seem like memorials of some form, with carved plaques which despite the barrier of language convey a sense of accomplisments recorded.
The fourth statue is quite different, unlike the others it bears no plaque, and where the others bear realistic features and normal equipment, the last bears an unfinished smooth face. Around the neck it bears what looks like an hourglass medallion, carved right into the stone. The left hand holds a skein of thread, and the right a pair of shears.
Suddenly, from the walls you are assaulted by the sound of alien words, "Moh lar drundo ky?"
In Giant:

Beren Kemble |

Hearing the words, the hair on Beren's back stand up and he feels a tingling rise up his spine. He turns around to look at Sari, "I think we may have found what we our looking for. We should go back and get the others."
Beren then backsteps several feet to ensure the statues will not come alive, then makes his way back to the door that Brick will hopefully open.

Beren attempts to back pedal out of the crossroads chamber only to find his back pressed up against a barrier of invisible force.
Divide and conquer is something you do TO the bad guys, not FOR the bad guys

Beren Kemble |

Beren is just greedy about taking damage.
Beren smacks flat into the air in front of him that would lead back to his companions. Recognizing some type of arcane trap, he turns back around with swords in hand looking for danger. While doing this, he move back and forth along the wall of force confirming that it does indeed block the entire passage.

Is Sari on the good side or the bad side of this wall of force
Sari is within the confines of the barrier with you. whether that is good or bad remains to be seen.
The disembodied voice repeats its question after a few seconds, though you are no closer to understanding it now then you were originally.
Another few seonds tick by, and the voice changes pitch, and grows much louder.
"Ghrenhendai, Gaho, Ghrenhendai, Gaho..." it repeats.
In giant:
Intruders, Alarm, Intruders, Alarm...
The sound is so intense that Sari and Beren begin to bleed from their ears because of the over pressure. 1 point of Sonic damage per round, and it will be at least 3 rounds before someone gets here.
For those back in the room, the same alarm blares within your chamber, as well as in the halls outside. Waking up is automatic.

Beren Kemble |

Beren drops to a knee feeling the pressure from the horrible voice. With blood flowing from his ears, he struggles to stand, and attempts to scream over the voice and communicate with Sari.
If Sari can hear Beren:
Beren points further down the hall and attempts to move in that direction.
if needed, Fortitude Save (Roll 11+4=15)

It takes roughly 6 seconds (read 1 round) for the voice to state the phrase, and there are sufficient pauses to easily communicate between. You do have trouble hearing because of the damage being done, but it is more like being to close to the stage at a concert then being deafened.
Beren moves across the open ground of the intersection chamber, only to find himself unable to move past the half way point because of a similar barrier.
He attempts to move back to Sari, only to find he can't move that way either.
The barriers are personal, and they prevent you from moving away from the center of the intersection. For a graphic description, imagine over turning a glass on a bug so it is trapped within.

Sari feels deafened by the strange happenings. She tries to read what Beren is saying but is having a hard time hearing him and can't make out all the words just by reading his lips. She sees him start to move and tries to move with him. Sari realizes that Beren is unable to move past the point that he is at now. Sari attempts to move back the way that they came from but she too is unable to move. Sari wonders if the rest of the group is hearing the same sound that they are and is wondering how they can let them know not to come this way. Sari tries to get Berens attention. She looks right at him and points to her mouth hoping that he will understand what she is trying to tell him. She moves her mouth slowly trying to say the words loud and clear hoping that Beren will be able to read her lips. "We need to get out of here! Must warn the others not to come this way" Sari waits hoping that Beren understood some of what she was trying to tell him.

"Beren! I can't remember how to open the door!"
That info would have been nice before Sari and Beren left, Does anyone else know how to open it, perhaps Valessa

"Beren! I can't remember how to open the door!"
At this point everyone has seen the door opened, so anyone can do it. If Brick had tried to open the door, it would have failed. Beren only showed him how to do it.

Ruuz |

Ruuz looks over at Brick hopelessly pushing on the door trying to get out, "Brick what is going on? Are Beren and Sari out there?"
As he is asking the warforged questions he is quickly grabbing his crossbow, morningstar and shield. Ruuz runs up and puts his hand on the mirror and opens the door for Brick.

Beren Kemble |

Beren, looking at Sari, "You're right, if we can, we need to warn them," he shouts.
Then he growls at the top of his lungs with frustration at being trapped. He then switches swords so that now his shortsword is in his primary right hand. With all of his might, he takes a stab at the invisible barrier attempting to gain his freedom.
I don't expect this to work, but Beren made me do it.

You discover there is no barrier against which to swing, but you still cannot move away from the center of the room.

Sari d'Deneith |

Beren swings and stabs but finds no resistance. He is caught in something intangible, yet tangible at the same time. He switches his swords again for comfort then looks over at Sari with anger and anxiety, "Ya know, I really hate Xen'drik."
"I agree with you on that one" Sari says as she watches Beren attempt to attack the strange barrier. "I don't know what else to do! This is frustrating" Sari shouts.

Valessa Marr |

Seemingly only a few moments after finally settling down to sleep, Valessa is shaken awake by the blaring giantish voice; "Ghrenhendai, Gaho, Ghrenhendai, Gaho..."
“What! Intruders, alarm?” she mutters. “Beren! Damn! I should have gone…”
Seeing the others rousing or already standing around her, she yells over the noise – “Beren and Sari went scouting! Brick, did you see which direction they went?!”
Init 19+2 = 21 if required. Valessa quickly gathers up her weapons and pack and runs towards the door.

Those who choose to go running in investigation easily find Beren and Sari standing near the center of the large intersection chamber of the main corridor and the first giant sized cross passage.
The alarm continues to blare, and once you get closer you can see that the two scouts are suffering from the sound, blood from their ears can clearly be seen running down their cheeks.
As soon as anyone comes withing 20' of the intersection space:
The disembodied voice says, "Moh lar drundo ky?"
In Giant:
What is thy Oath?

Beren Kemble |

Beren notices his companions approach and hears Rokko spout something unrecognizable in the corridor containing the Shifter. Whatever Rokko said, worked. Beren felt he could move again. Shaking his head to regain thought from his blasted ears, Beren moves back down the main corridor.
Approaching his companions and looking at the goblin Beren says, "Rokko, thanks." Then turning his attention to Ruuz, "What's this? One of them," nudging his head toward Ghorkin, "has gone missing? Valessa, I think I may have found something important, but maybe we should track this missing Morgrave woman down first."
Beren then sets off back to their sleeeping quarters and attempts to pick up her trail.

Sari sees Rokko come into view and sees him say something that she can't make out. Sari finding herself able to move since the horrible noise seems to have stopped for the moment hears Beren talking about someone missing and comes to stand beside him. "Well that wasn't much fun." Sari says as she wipes blood off of her face and neck. Sari then turns her attention back to the group. "Jyra is missing? Well if that isn't a surprise, I don't know what is" Sari is sarcastically. "Professor (meaning Ruuz) don't you have control over your new little toy?" "Well, I could care less if we never find her but I will help if we need to.

Beren Kemble |

Beren squats down to view the floor and catches a glimpse of the autmatic dust collector move about the corridor. Beren puts on a face of disgust, "Ahhh, nothing!"
Then his face turns from disgust into curiousity. He quickly stands and moves to find Ruuz, "Professor, do you and Valessa think you can do that trick again to open these other rooms. I remember the missing Morgrave woman having a similar idea. Maybe she is hiding out in one of these rooms."

Ruuz |

"Professor (meaning Ruuz) don't you have control over your new little toy?"
"What? ....I can't hear you because my ears are still ringing from the alarm YOU set off." Ruuz throws the sarcasm right back in Sari's face.

He turns to Beren dismissing Sari's comeback "I can try but it might not work every time." Ruuz turns to Valessa, "Shall we try?"
