About Ruuz

Appearance: 5’6” – 5’11” He takes the human form of Kallin d’Cannith, a man in his twenties brown hair and a smile that comes very easy. Ruuz has a habit of falling back to that form since it has been the norm for almost ten years but now he usually takes his natural form. He wears a long studded leather coat with pockets for scrolls, wands, and potions at all times and carries his Morningstar and scrolls when he is out on the town.

Personality: Ruuz is friendly and loves booze, women and being the center of things. Since Ruuz has been stuck in one form for so many years he now likes to imitate others and show off that he is a changeling.

Ruuz was born in Sharn in a middle class family and he quickly started making friends with some of the Cannith noble children. One day Ruuz was with Kallin d’Cannith and they were running around on one of the upper towers and Kallin fell over a thousand feet to his death. Ruuz, always envious of Kallin’s easy life decided that he would replace Kallin and tell everyone that the now unrecognizable child lying dead at the base of the tower was him. After all the turmoil was over Ruuz was now part of House Cannith.
For years he played the part of Kallin exceptionally well and any slips he just blamed on the trauma of his friends death. Ruuz then entered the Cannith school of artificers and quickly found that he had a lot of skill in the art. He could see how magic worked better than most in his class and Kallin’s parents often praised him ironically claming it was pasted down the family line. Everything was going great until one day one of the instructors brought out a gem of true seeing to let the students see how it worked and hopefully how to make one. When the instructor scanned the class room his look of shock was all Ruuz needed to know that his years of deception were uncovered. He didn’t waste any time and ran from the classroom and quickly grabbed his gear and fled the conclave.
I After spending only a couple of months hiding in Sharn he knew he had to leave town. Ruuz scraped together some money and boarded a ship heading to Stormreach and sailed from Sharn and he hoped any pursuit.
Ruuz is using his skills to earn the little money he needs to secure a room at an inn and keep him fed. Every day his is hoping for an opportunity to make better money and expand his skills.
