Personal backround:

Spoiler:
Merreck Green bottle was born to a well to-do merchant family. He was always something of a sickly child but made up for any flaws in his health with an quick mind and charismatic demeanor. He spent much of his childhood learning how to run the family buisness, interact with potential customers, run the sailing vessels and airships and listening to the songs and stories of the bards who were often hired by his father as they passed through twon to perform at the family manor. When he was 9 his father died in an airship accident and his uncle took over the family buisness. What had once been a prosperous trading buisness soon spiraled into bankruptcy. The family was forced to sell most of their merhcant fleet to a rival merchant clan. When he was nine years old a fearsome fire burned the family manor to the ground, leaving him the only survivor. A passing stranger took him to nearest temple to the Silver Flame for care. The spark of divine power was recognized within him and his clerical training begun. He soon tired of the sermons on morality and the ponderous tomes of religious fables; whenever the opportunity presented itself he snuck away from the temple and went to listen to the bards at the tavern. An old bard who favored the local tavern began to teach him to sing and play the fiddle and his skill blossomed. The night before he was to be ordained as a novice member of the clergy he decided that this was not the life he wanted to lead. He wanted a life full of adventure, merriment, wealth and perhaps one day, the restbalishment of the family buisness. He ran away from the temple and took up the carreer of a bard. Soon after he had began his bardic career he met up with a slightly rogue cleric of Olladra who beleived in trusting fair fortune above all else. The cleric soon taught Merreck to harness his divine gifts in an unorthadox manner. His mentor died in a poorly planned attempt to steal some powerful relics from the temple of Olladra. Greiving for his mentor Merreck left the region of his birth and sailed for Stormreach to start anew and pursue his old agendas. Now, a year later he has finally completed an ardous journey involving many sidetracks and has just arrived in Stormreach adn is looking for an opportunity to regain the wealth he has lost on his long jounrey. He has heard of the group that was key in the battle aboard the Tethered Wench and has tracked them down to see if they could use someone of his skills, sensing that there is much to be gained from an associatio with them. He isn't on entirely friendly terms with either the Church of the Silver Flame nor the Church of Olladra, both consider him a rogue and even a minor enemy. He tries to avoid contact with both groups whenever possible.
