Let's have a Dungeon and Dragon farewell party at Gen Con

Professor this is a good idea... though if the unofficial event is big enough the powers that be at WotC might realize that they made a monumental mistake is slaying the Dragon and burying the Dungeon. As I've been saying in other threads if we really want to use our Civil voice of displeasure towards the decision makers at WotC (not the designers or developers or art staff.. i.e. the Creative team) we should stage a protest at their biggest media event...

GENCON INDY and SoCAL.

Make T-shirts with the Dungeon and Dragon mastheads on them, make signs, stickers, buttons... we're all relatively creative people in this hobby. Use your imaginations and come up with creative ways to voice your opinions... but no violence or threats of harassment.

Though the "Smite Scott Rouse" T-shirts would be fun to make!!! :)

I support this idea fully! I will be proud to wear my "DUNGEON: TRUE TO THE GAME" shirt for years to come in celebration of some the the most entertaining adventures I have ever read or played. A wake for these long time friends is certainly in order & I can't think of a better place than GenCon.

If we're going to have a "Death of Dungeon and Dragon" Party, we need to do it BIG. And I don't mean a bunch of us hanging out and doing this at a bar. We need more space than that. There will be people out the DOOR if we do it at the RAM or one of the other local bars.

Which night are we picking? I do write for Hero Games, so I have to give them a lot of time too, and as I'm currently grinding out "Foxbat for President" I may be doing a whole lot of other stuff too.

If we're serious about this, someone should find us a venue. If Erik or James has time, it should be them, but they're already hosed, so if someone would like to volunteer...
