yeah still interested in the game just busy with life. Moved into a house so busy unpacking then my alternator went out in my truck. I only have time to post saturday-wednesday before noon pacific time due to work and family. I know I seem to be off in the shadows right now but, I will be putting in my d20s worth.

I would like to say Arctaris, you have done such a fine job with Segwin that only the good in my alignment is keeping him alive. Nice job.
Yep. Only reason Corvin hasn't turned Segwin into elf jelly by now is that he doesn't want to make Anarath angry. And, he's too lazy to murder someone that isn't an immediate threat.

Due to the fact that I haven't heard from Grimcleaver/Greis in a very long time and that he isn't responding to my emails I am going to open his slot in the campaign. I am looking for 1 more first level character to take his place. I'm open to the possibility of him returning at some future point. The first person who sends me their character sheet gets the slot.
| Arctaris |
Alright, slot closed.
I'm receiving the character sheet now (its plugging up my email, I hate dial-up). I will send an email to you telling you how I'd like to introduce you into the campaign and remove Grimcleaver/Greis in such a way that I can reintroduce him. Welcome aboard.

What do we prefer here guys, ranged or melee combat? Anarath's probably going to stay up on the wall if it doesn't make him too tempting a target, and use bow and spells. If anyone feels up to it, jumping down into melee, using kobolds as cushions might be an option? Otherwise, climb down the rope and go around, through the gate...

I'll prefer to close and grapple - my ranged options (thrown dagger) are pretty poor, certainly worse than a longbow. Grappling works well on small, heavily armoured foes.
By the way, Arctaris, the way Corvin was going his grappling was strictly incorrect. You need to make an touch attack to hit, and then a grapple check to get hold. Then you make another grapple check to inflict damage, though as Corvin has spiked armour that may be different (need to check armour spikes in the weapon and armour descriptions in the PHB). (Grappling is a real roll-fest.)

Shit. Sorry about that. I've been using our DM's simplified grappling rules without even thinking.
| Arctaris |
Its okay, I generally use simplified rules because the RAW grapple thing is sort of a byzantine process. You're welcome to use the standard grapple rules or the ones presented below.
Here are the grapple rules you can use if you want.
Initiate grapple
Opposed grappl checks (possible AoO)
Attack roll
Damage

Arctaris, I noticed that Gawlak hasn't posted for a while ... do you think it's worth doing another shout out to see if he's still interested? I noticed Gawlak / David was posting on the site yesterday after your call for initiative, but he didn't post anything in the game thread...
