Dude, I read on one of your other posts that you've been playing D&D for about a year. That's awesome! When I had been playing for a year I didn't feel up to DMing, and certainly not for a bunch of people I didn't know. When I finally did DM my first game after playing for about 18 months, it was pretty ... ordinary.
Anyway, my point is you're doing great and I think we're all really enjoying the game.
Anyway, back to the game...

Thanks, I've been DMing since I learned how to play. I was the one who taught the rest of my group.
Anyway, I just sent you the Grimmbold Manor map. I apologize to the unlucky person who gets two copies, one of which will be of a considerable size. Sorry about that.

Yep, the captured kobold told us, before ... well, you know!
Yeah, its the little things like that ... I noticed that some of the other groups who pbp here use their discussion threads for little details and comments like that, I think it adds a good touch (and not to mention can help tactically).
Hope its not too "metagamish" for anyone's tastes?

Also, we don't *know* it's him. Could still be kobolds (perhaps unlikely during the day) or anything else. In the heat of the moment of a surprise attack I don't know that we'd all immediately think of the architect.
Besides, Anarath is behind the waterfall and not sure what's going on, so he's not in a position to shout a warning.

I fear you are correct and until I hear otherwise from Grimcleaver I am going to NPC Greis. If his absence will be permanent I will have to start looking for anther player.
Is anyone who is playing here interested in continuing to play in my homebrew world? If so I'll start planning the next adventure.

At least, we hope this is roleplaying.
Yeah, it's RP. I just thought that Arctaris would get mad about it. I tend to toss stuff like that out there to keep people on their toes, and the reason I thought Arctaris wouldn't like it is my usual DM (Dirk Gently) HATES it when I do that. It's all cool.
And by the way, my random thought for the day:
Stand up man. Your life is on the line.
Stiff upper lip and all that, wot wot.
I say...

Hey Arctaris, I appreciate the effort to move the action along (much needed in battle scenes!), but (no snarkiness intended) remember that a few of us are in pretty different time zones, and sometimes sleep and such might get in the way of posting. Maybe 12 hours might be a bit better?

Hang on, is this guy we're fighting an elf or a half elf? Not that it really matters right at this stage I suppose.
He seems pretty hard-core anyway. I don't have much in the way of magic to use against him, I was thinking of targetting either him or his weapons with a Grease spell next turn...
The Manor was built a long time ago right? So it would make sense that the architect is of a long lived race, such as an elf - think this is our man? I'm guessing so... and I noticed Dohrlok is dealing non-lethal damage...

Hey guys, the posts are starting to get a bit few and far between in this game, and now Aubrey / Dohrlok is going to be away for two weeks. What do you guys think, should we keep going, (NPCing Dohrlok if needs be) or should we put the game on hold for two weeks or so, and then everyone start afresh?
I'm fine with either (and the final call is probably Arctaris'), just thought it was worth discussing.
Arctaris asked a while back if everyone was happy with the game and wanted to continue - is that still the case with everyone?
I like the game, like the group and like my character, and I'd like to continue, but it's a bit disheartening sometimes when there's only one post (or none) after several days. OK, I'm a bit guilty of that as well, as I normally don't get to post over the weekend, but I can usually make at least one post every week day. What does everything else think, are we all still into it? I am.

I'm still happy to DM. ,will you have limited internet or no internet access? Would you be okay with me if NPCing you when you couldn't post? Before I make a decision about how I want to handle this I need some feedback about what everyone else wants to do.

Sorry Arctaris, it's not me who will be away, it's Aubrey the MAlformed (who plays Dohrlok) - he has said on another thread that he will have little or no internet access until June 2.
I'm more than happy to keep going, but lately only Dohrlok, Corvin and I have been posting regularly. Just wondering whether, with Dohrlok away, we should take a break? I dont want to be the only one posting...

I don't really care either way. However, if it was my decision, I'd say to continue with the game(using the 24-hour rule, of course).
