It's got mandolin*, mellotron, German psychedelib*llocks, and a bass player and drummer who don't seem 100% sure what song they're supposed to be playing. Shame about the singing children, but you can't have everything.

For a moment I wondered if the Supremes had covered the Velvet Underground.
I couldn't quite picture it.
Although, the hook from "There She Goes Again" was famously stolen from Marvin Gaye.
I had a FB acquaintance thought it might be a Pink Floyd cover, but it was only when I went to grab it for this thread that I realized the title's different.
And now that I've been to youtube, I have discovered an odd mash up of "Venus in Furs" and "Ain't No Mountain High Enough."
I played hooky and went to the Randy Newman concert anyways
They had Graham Nash last week. I wouldn't have played hooky for him, but I made a mental note to dig out Songs for Beginners which I forgot about until now.

WBER has been playing songs from Scott Pilgrim vs. the World lately. Mostly the Metric/The Clash at Demon Head song, but also Sex Bobomb's Garbage Truck song.

Arcade Fire - Everything Now Good song, but slightly worrying that they've evidently reached the video-with-the-band-playing-in-a-desert stage of their career. Never a good sign.
