Nekrogoblikon - Heavy Meta [FULL ALBUM STREAM] I think I'm in love with this album.

Recently started playing TF2 again, and remembered they added new music I hadn't heard, so I went back and listened to the whole soundtrack again. Here.

Especially a fan of Red Bread of the new stuff.

Jorn Lande's "Dio", a compilation of covers. Jorn Lande is a Norwegian metal/hard rock vocalist who covers a lot of classic heavy tunes as well as recording his own music. And his album covers nearly always feature an anthropomorphic raven, much like a Tengu, I think.

Mystery Men is one of my favorite movies. I've seen it probably a dozen times, but for some reason, I never noticed that a cover of one of my favorite songs was prominently featured in the background of one scene (and was even included on the official soundtrack):

Citizen King - "Gangsters" (The Specials cover)

How Much Of A Music Snob Are You?
Please take a break from alphabetizing your vinyl collection and take this quiz.

Only 48.

Which reminds me:

Over the weekend, while Mr. Comrade and the Nigerian Princess were down in Brooklyn staying at La Principessa's house to go to Afropunk (apparently, Grace Jones was the outstanding act; Lauryn Hill's set suffered from a terrible mix; and La Principessa wasn't terribly impressed when her union sister dragged her to go see Suicidal Tendencies), I went over The Black Goblin's house and retrieved my turntable and one of my racks of records. So, yeah, I spent a lot of this past weekend alphabetizing my vinyl collection.

Feels really good to have my turntable, my records and myself all under the same roof. It's been...six years I think.

Only 26 but there are some GREAT questions on there. I dont care what other ppl think of 'my' music and I usually dont shame them for listening to pop stuff (except a few things that drive me crazy)...Shoot, for a long time KISS was my favorite band (even the 90's stuff!) Though on the bookmobile, if they are listening to something that sounds like they were 'influenced' by an earlier band, I will put cds of that earlier band on hold for them and bring them for the person to check out and talk about the linked band.

The quality of the recording also doesnt bother me, I grew up on cassettes and 8tracks and vinyl with ALL of their blurps and scratches and squealing problems of having older material and not having money to get newer stuff.

The ones I hit heavy were the concert ones and the journalists. Ive done some crazy trips just for concerts (to Germany for Wacken Metalfest and to NYC to see Rammstein at MSG, plus lots of miles to follow Iron Maiden) and I do read a lot of critics' books but I dont really worship them. Philip Seymour Hoffman being Bangs in that movie is as close to worship as I get; he was AMAZING in that role.

Ill admit to having a dub phase, but I agree about the blackmetal NOT being a phase! \m/ ^-^ \m/

Or I did!

Now I'm listening to Semi Psychedelic by Pepper & the Shakers, which makes any sort of suckage utterly impossible!

That moment when you're trying to learn the third intro riff for "Gates" by The Menzingers, and accidentally start playing the main riff from "Til I Hear It From You" by the Gin Blossoms.

Kinda reminds me of the time that I accidentally straight-up copied a Gaslight Anthem song.
