((based on a post from Jeremy mc Donald))
Apparently, posts can only be edited for 1 hour.
Whats really most annoying regarding this is that so many of the posts are informative ones meant to be used by other members.
It'd sure be nice if we could fix the mistakes we made in our posts after the fact.
That way when the stat block is posted it can be fixed when another sharp eyed reader notices an error.

There are a few reasons for the time limit on editing posts.
One reason is that people expect new information to be added at the bottom of a thread; people who visit often could miss new information if it were added to a post they've already looked at. So if you need to add new information, making a new post will ensure that it doesn't go unnoticed.
Another reason is to avoid people "rewriting history."
Finally, we wish to encourage people to think *before* they post.

they are all good reasons, i mean, "relatively" good reasons...
it is true, people expect to find new information at the bottom, but if someone edits a previous post with important info, normally you also add a post at the bottom saying something has been edited.
it is good to encourage people to think "before" they post, but especially with conversions, mistakes are possible, or people can have second thoughts.
does this last reply mean they you will not consider making Edit-able posts?
would you consider having a "conversions" section where the posts are edit-able?
one of the strong points of Dungeon adventures is the fact that they can be adapted to many different campaign worlds... a conversion section (with edit-able posts) will be a great tool for the gamers
thx again for your kind attention!
