Humanoid Dragon race published in Dragon?

Dragon Magazine General Discussion

Does anyone know any created true humanoid Dragon race, one that is not mixed, templated, done as a class or were once another race but a direct mystical (magical) born humanoid shaped dragon that is a +0 LA race that was published in Dragon issue?

To my knowledge, which regarding Dragon magazine from about the conception of 3.0 on is about 90% accurate: No.

Could I be wrong? Certainly. From other WotC material, I would consider Spellscales, Kobolds, and Dragonborn to be the closest matches.

From my understanding of level adjustment, the actual Dragon Type is worth about +1, due to the immunities it grants (sleep and paralysis). Its excellent skill point, hit die, and saves would theoretically make it even better, but those wouldnt matter in a 1hd race, because they would all be replaced by the chosen class.

So odds are you will not find any actual true Dragon Type non-level adjusted 1hd race. And even if you did, it would be very unlikely to be humanoid. Half-dragons and dragonkin are the exceptions to a pretty solid rule (winged/wingless quadruped).

I would have to agree, I can't think of any from the 3.0+ era.

There might be something from way-back, but I'm not sure.
You may be thinking of Krynn based Draconians, the closest I can think of right now, covered in the mag. However they were
not presented as 0 LA-- you would probably have to modify them
down to get that.

Hope this helps,
