I have a group of five 4th level PC's about to storm the Vanderboren Manor. I feel like they are likely to be cut up and eaten!
It seems my group is a bit behind in levels. What levels were your PC's at this point in the BWG, and to what end?

The PCs are expected to be at about 4th level by the time they enter Vanderboren Manor. The battles may seem tough, but there are several advantages that the PCs have. First of all, they know the layout of the manor (so you should give them a copy of the manor map to plan their moves). Second, with some healing, the Jade Ravens can be recruited to help. And don't forget the dogs! In the Savage Tide campaign I'm running, the party's druid beelined for the kennel and recruited the dogs with wild empathy; they tore through the frogs like nobody's business!

It's really nice having this forum, and doubly so because of the presence the authors keep here!
I'd still be interested to hear how others have fared.....
I handed out the players map of Vanderboren Manor from the online supplement. My players were a bit higher in level: 3 5th lvl and 2 4th lvl. The bullywugs were of course no match, but the named ones still provided some challenge. They healed the Jade Ravens just enough to open eyes again, so the mercenaries didn't join them seriously in battling the intruders but protected Lavinia in the Master's Bedroom.
BTW As I started a thread elsewhere concerning the number of sessions BG takes, it took us 3 (one was a 20 hour marathon)!
