These 2 are the children of Succubi and a mortal (specifically a human) whereas the other combinations typically result in a tiefling. I have seen the Fiend templates and level progressions (unearthed arcana/complete mage) but I was really expecting either of the Fiendish Codex (I especially) to contain these since monster manual 1 typically had them... but no luck.

I too would like to see more on cambions and alu-demons as each have interesting playing developments from both pc and npc standpoints; it is always heroic for special heroes to try to battle their own hearts blackness to stand in the light of good; always good roleplaying aspects as they strattle the fence trying to decide with side to fight on. Some development of these half breeds like from MM2 would be nice.
yeah, or some race with a demon outsider bloodline; doesn't really have the same thunder; am hoping for something like the old days with prince/lord half breeds and commoner demon half breeds with some variation by what race and power level was mixed. i think this would be of interest to a lot of gms and players and rather see it in a regulated product than just make up my own; which I will do if it doesnt come out in the next year.
That is a very good idea, I always loved those half-demons. Just slapping a template on them won´t do them justice, somehow.
And don´t be mistaken, Iuz isn´t "just a Cambion". Start with his parents, and already there it is clear that he is no ordinary cambion (if such a thing even exists). For some tantalizing hints, read "Iuz the Evil" (SHC, for those in the know). As was said once for Vecna: He was once known as the Arch-Lich, bus has left this paltry honorific long behind him since.
Iuz would make a prime example of what a Cambion can reach, perhaps with his stats given in several stages: "Young Cambion", "Dark Hero", "Sinister Overlord", "aspiring Godling", "evil Demigod", or something like this. Just some ideas...
