Psionics and other things i would love to see occasionally!

I would love to see some more psionic material to keep psionics alive and kicking. Mage magic or Arcane magic seems to have like billions of spells while Psionics has maybe a hundred powers. I would also love to see and ecology on the Elans and hear more about them and how they relate to already created worlds, ie Forgotten Realms, Greyhawk (if you must) and Ebberron. In addition to all that being a huge realms fan i would love to learn more about the various gods from the realms perhaps a Spotlight on their faiths, even the dead, gods might be interesting. I know i am interested in Auppenser even though he is just sleeping. Anyone else got stuff they would love to see appear in Dragon.

There are 291 powers in the Expanded Psionics Handbook - not quite sure about Complete Psionics, as they're not in my database yet.

I agree, though. Psionics needs some lovin'.

And, as we always, always say when this subject comes up: Psionics needs some queryin'. With the current laws of the universe, we simply cannot print articles that don't exist.

Psionics, epic, Oriental Adventures... we hear the cry for support. We just simply don't get the support.

Is this your way of saying "Get off your gluteous maximus and start walkin' the walk?" :P

Point taken, Mike!

So speculatavely, would this be the place to sound out the chanses of a few articles I was toying with?
First up, an article on including Oddball stuff like Incarnum and psionics nto exosting campeghn worlds.
Secondly, an article giving a few feat chains that offer unique fighting styles to Soul Knives, such as:-

The Dhalos school, Named for the swift flowing Dhalos river that seathes and foams by there academy, studens of this techinque weiled pared mindblades in a savage frensy of cutting blows and liquidly cracefull riposetes that rip through massed foes and stubbornly erode the defenses of stronger oponents.

Okay so if i annouce that psionics just needs to get some good articles and such submitted to Dragon..... on the Wizard boards you mean to say it might actually be heard? Awsome on it!!!

I made this sugggestion also in the past, and hinted that the members of the 3rd-party Third Eye psionics board would submit queries based on our ideas much like EN World members submit monster queries. With the board down, the posts are being archived as a PDF, but there's a lot of material there I believe could make it into Dragon.

Well, hopefully I'll get a response to my epic feature article query reasonably soon then.:)

Yes. :) I've been trained, with my conversations on these boards about psionics in Class Acts, to not bother with diplomacy and subtlety. ;)

I wasn't aiming that directly at you, Lilith. It was a broad dictum aimed squarely at the fans of non-core rules supplements. :)

And thanks for the treats! :D

I think we've proven on multiple occasions that we listen to our fans. :)

If we get good psionics articles we'll run them. The key words of that sentence are "if" and "good." "If" because I think we've received a total of four psionics queries (that number is an estimate, and it might be high) since I started working here three years ago. "Good" because those four articles were obviously not up to Dragon's high standards.

To re-re-re-reiterate: We do not hate psionics. We will run psionics articles. We do run psionics articles because we do not receive psionics articles.

If you can change that, great. If not, I'm sure I'll be saying this all over again in four months when the next thread about psionics comes up. ;D

And just to be clear, you can exchange all instances of the word "psionics" with "epic," "OA," or whatever other undersupported system you can think of and be assured of this post's accuracy. ;)

Which I'm a fan of the non-core rules stuff. ;) Reminds me, I need to brush off a couple things...

I wonder if being a fan of the non-core stuff is akin to being a Cubs' fan? ;D

Is she also a psionics fan? Cuz if so, she could speak to this directly. :)

Naah. She played like once or twice.

She loves video games, so we play Everquest or D&D console 2-player sometimes.

After your recent work on Impiltur, I really do hope to see that Epic article of yours taken and printed in the pages of Dragon ASAP.
