As part of an earlier post, I promised I'd list this info as a SAMPLE of how to put together an adventure outline.
GOD'S NO I'M NOT SERIOUS! :) Maybe my players will find out next week...
Example Adventure Outline:
Snakes on a Flying Carpet (blurb already posted)
1. Intro: PC's are sitting in a bar when they are handed a ticket to a cloud castle by a guy who doesn't want to go there..too much treasure he says..meet at the old temple at dawn.
Encounter 2: PC's ask for rumors around the area about this sort of thing.
Encounter 3: Old Temple is devoted to a dead god..a snake cult and PC's can explore the area
Encounter 4: Old temple encounter rats run by ignoring PC's
Encounter 5: A flying carpet comes from nowhere and lands at the PCs' feet and PC's may begin the journey
Encounter 6: carpet flys them first to a cliff-face and stops where they are harassed by eagles..their nest contains unhatched golden eggs, which of course the greedy PC's take with them.
Encounter 7: The carpet takes off and the eggs, cursed to contain masses of snakes, hatch in their backpacks and a battle begins
Encounter 8: The flying carpet takes them through the clouds to a cloud keep; when they land, a flying snake comes to get them
Encounter 9: inside the main keep, all is quiet except for a strange idol of a snake
Encounter 10: the room of the keep, a dire, advanced flying snake sorcerer battle with a summon snakes staff and dagger of venom
From there, you fill in backstory, Read-Aloud Text, DM's text etc. You can imagine that the skeleton adventure I just created needs some filling out and that's easier to do with a rough adventure sketch outline than doing it as you go.

I honestly recently submitted "Snakes on a Plain" but it was eaten by the "Already Got One" monster.

Maybe I shouldn't bring up my "Squids on a Train" Eberron submission where illithids attack the lightning rail the PCs are on.

In case anyone missed it, there is a "Blanks on a Blank" filmmaking contest. You have to submit a short video showcasing an animal on a vehicle.
I believe first place so far is "Raccoons on a Space Shuttle."

My friend's brother actually made a film for that called "Elephants on a Paddleboat"... unfortunately, it didn't make it into the top 20. : P
