In your estimation - how do the following translate in to game terms:

Black Belt (i.e. a feat, a level - fighter/monk, skill points)
Mensa Membership (intelligence?)
Master's Degree Academic - skill points, feats
Master's Degree Business
Scuba Certification
Scuba Instructor Certification
Completing a marathon
Completing multiple marathons
Military Rank

This is just a partial list, people reference stuffl ike this all the time but we all give stuff like this different weights. When I was a punk kid for example my view on martial arts belt progression in D&D would've been white 1, yellow 2, etc. Now a black belt wouldn't be level one. Just curious - board at work - thought this might generate some interesting replies.

Game On!

Black Belt: A character who wears this seemingly plain accessory recieves a +5 circumstance bonus to any check involving their pants staying up. This bonus increases to +10 if you have hips. Also becasue the belt is black it goes with everything.

Faint transmutation; CL 2; Create Wondrous Item; Price 2,500 gp.

Int 17 (not any higher - because if you were any brighter you wouldn't spend the money on the entrance test that tells you whether or not you are smart enough to join - you'd already know); or Int 18+, and SQ Low Self-Esteem (Ex): You crave the validation of others. You take a -4 penalty on social interactions checks involving any creature who doesn't have this trait.

Master's Degree Academic - skill points, feats

New Feat: Master's Degree Academic

Prerequisites: Elitism, Vow of Poverty
Benefit: From now until the day your character dies people will upon hearing that you have this feat ask you the following: "So, do you teach?"
Also you can find comfort in your superiority even though you don't have money.
Normal: You are just poor.

New Feat: Master's Degree Business

Prerequisites: Moral Ambiguity 5 ranks, No other decernable talents
Benefit: You know what sales-orientated high schoolers knew about 40 years ago and have the paper to prove it!
You can have money at the cost of your soul.
Normal: You would probably be digging ditches and not have money.

SA Military Rank(Ex): You smell like you have just run multiple marathons in summertime, and your funk has battlefield applications. Characters within a 10-foot radius spread centered on you must make a Fort save (DC = 10 + 1/2 your character's HD + the absolute value of any Charisma penalty you might have; creatures with scent recieve a -4 circumstance penalty) or become panicked while within range. Those who fail by 5 or more also become nauseated for 1d4 rounds. This is considered an airborne poison attack. It can be surpressed by powerful winds (like the gust of wind spell) or countered for a week by a full minute's application of soap and water (1 gallon per HD minimum).

My friends and I used to play palladium/rifts/whatnot.
We'd write ourselves up as player characters and then rift to rifts earth.
We had an ongoing joke that so many of us went in the military to buff ourselves up for the game.

That was the first thing I thought of when I saw the word "scuba." Oh and be careful of those 4'5" little gymnast girls who cross train in boxing, running and weight lifting. They can fire a gun faster than most people and can probably put you through a wall to boot.

Damn, I failed my Read Sensory Instruments roll did I just type that or is my computer out of gas? I just can't tell.

You gotta watch those gas powered models sometimes. At least they are more reliable than my hand-crank computer. I always forget to wind it before a long post. Speaking of, what kind of 486's does the Paizo server run off of? 'Cause it's sloooowwww. Mr. Teter should we start a collection for your department?
