I am trying to get resources together for the new AP, but haven't found a good miniature ship for the adventure (or a few styles for different ships) that I could use for the characters and wanted to find something cool looking ... any ideas?
I'm looking for minis or maps to use to make a mini of the ships we're going to use from rowboats to a ship of the line

Hi All,
I can recommend The Maiden of the High Seas from World Work Games (www.worldworksgames.com). It does take some time to put together (I am still in the process), but does make for a nice ship.
As for a ship to use with the Savage Tide Adventure Path, that would be a great poster map for Dungeon to include when it comes time for the adventuring party to set sail. ;-)
Good gaming,

Try out the Pyrates set from Megablocks. They're a bit out of scale, but not by much.
We used this ship:

as an Eberron airship and (as expected) then crashed it. All the pieces flying all over the place had a nice effect...

You lucky dog...
http://www.spelljammer.org/ships/ - Spelljammer site, includes links to Mongoose and Bastion Press ship-plans

http://www.dungeoneering.net/downloads.php5?id=ck - dungeoneering.com construction kits, ships and docks
There were a few more - inc. a Dungeon issue - but they were just a single ship or two each - this is the TRUE MEAT of my research!!
That'll be 4gp please! (Sage, 2 days work, 2gp a day)

I too am braving the task of putting together Worldworks' Maiden of the High Seas. In fact, I will likely be buying / downloading / printing / cutting / folding / glueing a number of their products in the months to come, leading up to our group running Savage Tide sometime next Spring.
The whole cardstock model process is quite fun and addictive! Thankfully my wife is patient with my new hobby - though I guess she knew the risks of marrying a D&D geek to begin with :)

See, I'm going about it in the opposite manner...
The girlfriend just landed a job at the full-sized replica of the Santa Maria here in Columbus, on the Scioto River.
When we do chargen, it's going to be on the poopdeck of a honest-to-Christ sailing vessel!
(Which, by the by, is far smaller than you'd think.)

Check out these sources for ships and boats:

(a great tutorial about building a ship)

(I didn't search this ...but it looked like a massive resource too good not to include)

(a super terrain link ...this should cover just about everything)

That is awesome! I'm in Columbus too, so I know the ship. It is pretty small, I didn't realize it was actually to scale. Do you know what their hours and prices are for tours? Is there a website or something?

I know that they are open in the later part of the week and the weekend. I think it's something like $3.50 for adults. I'll ask her tonight what the setup is like.
Yeah, it's small. Everyone has this idea of the giant galleons being standard - but most pirate ships were at best frigates.
