Double gnarly. One of my personal favorites, definitely.

Wolf jaw on my head
Välhäll awaits me

"Exterminate Annihilate Destroy" by Rotersand is my fave. It's basically the paladin song:

exterminate annihilate destroy

give me your faith, something i can believe in
and you'll be my family, my brother, my friend
tell me a truth that i find not deceiving
teach me a lesson that i understand

build me a shelter, a place i can dwell in
show me a future that i can enjoy
give me a reason and i'll be your fellow
show me the target i have to destroy

exterminate annihilate destroy

show me my leader and i'll pledge obedience
whisper the name of the enemy mine
blessed be my fate and my tools of expedience
i'm going to fulfil what's my mission divine

exterminate annihilate destroy

Yeah! If this isn't the best music video ever, I don't know what is. Great song, too.

Some simple words from the far side of hell...
you know they got a hell of a band!

On the day I was born, the rain fell down
There was trouble brewin' in my home town
It was the seventh day, I was the seventh son
And it scared the hell out of everyone
They said drop, I said go
They said fast, I said slow
They said lost, I said no
I do the bad boy boogie!

ANGUS! Oi!
It's a long way to the top, if you wanna rock n roll.

Ministry - Rio Grande Blood

A bit of a mixed bag, but it has some great tunes - and "Rio Grande Blood", aside from kicking major ass, is freakin' hillarious. GWB never sounded so good - "I'm a weapon of mass destruction! And I'm eeeeevil!". Hooray from sampling!

Every time I put another CD into my CD player, it just doesn't sound right. I have to put Blood Mountain back in after only a few moments. Damn you, Mastodon! You have made everyone else sound like beginners!

HELLZYEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHH!

I bought me an auto, an '81 Ford Escort Wagon,
Now the fan; it be broke, and the tailpipe; it be draggin'
I feel like a slummy, my mechanic's fit for hangin'
I got to go to Rust Check, but the price I'll be hagglin'
I can't drive it home because the muffler; it be saggin'
I got a CARFUL OF PAIN!

Satan's in my engine, Beelzebub's in my trunk,
Mephistopheles at the wheel 'cos I'm to damn drunk
Baal's my passenger and Lucifer's beside him,
I got demons in the coolant, and I got bats in the transmission
This Escort needs an exorcism, brimstone and flame,
I got a CARFUL OF PAIN!

I put a tiger in my tank, I let champs work my gas,
Now I got a demon in the hood, a pain in the ass,
I think the seats are broken...
Oh, no...

Please please mister, take your blessed wrench,
Cast out this demon horde and replace the compression coil,
Let the smell'a gasolin'a heaven swell'a over her,
I'll worship you O SpeedyMan, Mr. Goodwrench even more,
Let it run,
Let it run,
Let it run,
OH GOD LET IT RUN!

Now it purrs just like a kitten, It roars just like a lion,
I gleams just like a temple golden carved by the Mayans,
Here comes the mechanic, oh s+$#, how much?
Six hundred bucks! You piece of slime, you smell and you suck!
Your father was a jackal, your mom's your sister >censored<
I got a CARFUL OF PAIN!
I got a CARFUL OF PAIN!
I got a CARFUL OF PAIN!
I got a CARFUL OF PAIN!
I got a CARFUL OF PAIN!
I got a CARFUL OF PAIN!

You did...but I have psionics every harvest moon and last time around, I stole that secret from yer twisted lil mind. (along with yer PIN number, favorite ice cream flavor, and the location of the lost ark of the covenant)

This morning it's been some R & B. Tony Joe White with "Polk Salad Annie", and "Rainy Night in Georgia" and some Bill Withers "Grandma's Hands", "Lovely Day","Just the two of us", "Who is he (and what is he to you)".

The Reverend Horton Heat is coming to town Thursday this week, so I'll be throwing on some "Psychobilly Freakout" and "Watusi Rodeo" to get ready. Love those guys! Hinder is coming too and I am probably going to see them (mostly for Black Stone Cherry as opener). "Go Home! Get Stoned!"

Lastest albums I've listened to often:

Jack Johnson - In Between Dreams
John Mellencamp - Freedom's Road
Harry Connick Jr - Chanson du Vieux Carre

Fatboy Slim - The Greatest Hits
Sleepthief - The Dawnseeker

Liberty's Edge

Ohhhh, man... The new Prize Fighter Inferno album is AWESOME...
I am not ususally a fan of synth/programmed rock (I like metal), but this album blew me away. It sort of reminded me of early Rush. Songs you should listen to: 'Run, Gunner Recall! The Town Wants You Dead!' and 'Who Watches The Watchmen?'

Here's another one for ya'll to peep. It's called M-I-K-E on the M-I-C (not really).

remember Jackie Chan? Here's his cantonese version of the montage song from Disney's Mulan. This sort of works for me, but as I started thinking about martial artists and singing and plugging in random stuff into youtube, I came across this.

Steven friggin Seagal 'doing' the blues. WOW!

Chopin - Nocturnes
Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour
Penny Wise - Land of the Free
Misfits - Famous Monsters
Beastie Boys - Check Ya Head
Billy Joel - Piano Man
The Smiths - Best of The Smiths

Albert King, "Blues Power."

I just got home from the Mastodon concert. I have been going to some pretty hardcore concerts since 1988 (yes, I have seen Slayer 3 times) and tonight was the FIRST TIME EVER that I got knocked down in the pit. I am quite impressed. It was awesome! I think I might have even broken my thumb. I highly recommend seeing a Mastodon show to everyone who has the occasion and means. You won't be disappointed.

Yeah, you did.

All this week - my entire Dweezil Zappa catalogue:

Havin' a Bad Day
My Guitar Wants to Kill Your Mama
Confessions
Shampoohorn (Z)
Automatic
Go with What You Know
Ready to Rumble ("...Baby One More Time" and "Diamond Dallas Page (King Of Ba-Da-Bing) Theme")

Right now, a compilation/"mix" CD I made with my favorite songs from Tesla's first two CDs: Mechanical Resonance and The Great Radio Controversey

The Oz-man playeth. Always Ozzy. Eternally Ozzy.

This gets accompanied with a lot of Black Sabbath (both with Oz and for a few albums afterwards, a healthy dose of Metallica (all periods for those who argue over early vs. late). Occasionally there will be tasty samples of Rob Zombie, Korn, Dio and other heavier "Metal" bands and artists.

I'm a closet head-banger from way back!.

There are times when mood swings towards the more classic Celtic (traditional and modern). The wife and I do Renaissence Faires and we like the bagpipes and such.

I'm 10 minutes from end of work, on the addictive Paizo message boards, listening to Violent Femmes 'All I want is just one kiss" "all I really want is just one F#*%".

Liberty's Edge

You know this is all going down in your permanent record.

Yeah, you did.

In fact, here are the complete lyrics:

This forest is growing faster than I can tell
Cell structure eats away at a massive swell
Seems however I'm a victim of circumstance
Hunt for ogres and dwarves
Lion slicer
Run with death
Run with death
White faces coming closer with every step
Earth envelopes taking breath without happenstance
Carve my teeth out ripping through the sheep's head curse
Hunter gatherer
Ridden from the cave
Run with death
Run with death
Gone away
My heart's gone away
Taking everything
My heart's gone away
Take it now
Hunt for ogres and dwarves
Lion slicer
Run with death
Run with death
Gone away
My heart's gone away
Taking everything
My heart's gone away
Take it now

Frank Sinatra. It's good life if you can get it. And you can get it if you try.

Grand Lodge

Muse - Black holes and revelations. A little uneven, but the good stuff ("Knights of Cydonia" and, especially, "Map of the problematique") is wildly awesome.

Liberty's Edge

Led Zeppelin's Greatest Hits: the Early Days gets 5 \m/'s out of 5.

Black Sabbath-Heaven and Hell

Kodo, it's nice & relaxing. It's been a crappy week at work & it helps me unwind at home.

But, on the way home it's what I lovingly refer to as angry man music. :o)
