CotCT: List of Monsters

Curse of the Crimson Throne

1. I am planning to run CotCT and it would be nice if a had a decent for every monster/NPC in the whole adventure path. Until now I have the first three modules, the last ones will be in my mailbox the next. But due to some reasons I have to order my minis the next days - so I would be more than happy if anyone could help provide me the information which monsters/NPC will be in the last three issues of CotCT.

2. unfortunately not every monster in CotCT is available as a wizard mini. Any idea with which mini I could replace the red assassins for example, the otyughs, the wererats or the evil elfen chain NPC (I just forgot her name...)

thanks for your help!

For Wererats I'd recommend Skaven from Warhammer Fantasy, love those creepy ratfolk.

I will be using Slayer of Domiel [Underdark #12/60] for the Red Mantis.

Wererats, you have 2 choices, either Wererat [Dragoneye #40/60], or Wererat Rogue [War of the Dragon Queen #39/60]

Otyughs again 2 options, Lifeleech Otyugh [Night Below #44/60] or Otyugh [Giants of Legend #27/72]

I'm in the process of buying minis to run CotCT. Some are expensive but you can sell them after you finish.

All available at AB-Prices

or on Ebay.

Monsters/NPCs in A History of Ashes:

Spoiler:
Trinia Sabor (Female Human bard) (Craft: Painting, Perform:Comedy)
Red Mantis Assassins (up to 4 at once)
Cinnabar (Human Female Red Mantis Assassin leader)
Shadowcount Sial (Male Human Cleric of Zon-Kuthon, Chain Shirt & spiked chain, black clothes)
--Asyra (Female chain devil (Kyton)) (I would go with a sexy female mini, as opposed to the not-particularly-good WOTC Chain Devil mini)
The Cinderlander (Male Human ranger/Horizon Walker) (Mithral shirt, repeating heavy crossbow, dual-wielded handaxes. Go for a rugged, Alan Quartermain look)
--Neverfar (Firepelt cougar animal companion)
Krojun Eats-What-He-Kills (Male Shoanti human barbarian) (Earthbreaker hammer, Klar, Hide Shirt, bald, lots of tattoos, even more muscle)
Skoan-Quah Boneslayers (Shoanti human ranger 2/cleric 2) (Need 4 of these. Earthbreakers and/or composite longbows, hide shirts)
Sklar-Quah Thundercallers (Shoanti Human Barbarian 1/Bard 6) (Use Totem Spears (New item, spear with holes in the head to make a whistling sound when swung, Hide shirts)
Havero Tentacle (Massive tentacles. Don't even try to find a mini for these; I used gummi worms, which my players loved!)
Lyrune-Quah Moon Maidens (Female Shoanti Barbarian 1/Ranger 5) (Use Starknives, wear hide shirts)
Red Reaver (Large humanoid magical beast; you can easily touch up the paintjob on a Grey Render for this)
Truthspeaker Akram (Old Male Human Shoanti Cleric of Desna) (Starknife, no armour. Did I mention he's old?)
Cindermaw the Clan-Eater (Fire-based Purple Worm)
Bulettes (x6)
Gargoyles (x4)
Sklar-Quah Burn Rider (Shoanti Human Barbarian, Short spear, klar, composite longbow, hide shirt)

Skeletons of Scarwall NPCs/Monsters

Spoiler:

(Note: In general, I think it would be better to go with the classes over the races for most of the undead here. For example, it's hard to find zombies or fighters in Full Plate, and the armour would cover most of it anyway. So I am just using Fighter minis as opposed to undead, which makes things a lot easier. YMMV.)

Shadowcount Sial (see above)
--Asyra (see above)
Laori Vaus (Female Elf Cleric of Zon-Kuthon, Spiked chain, spiked chainmail)
Deadwatcher Orcs (Orc Fighter, breastplate, Greataxe, Composite shortbow)
Ury Sevenskulls (Male Orc barbarian) (Greatsword, Composite longbow, Mithral shirt)
Gargoyles (12 total, 4 is probably enough minis unless you get into a mass battle)
Bellasham (Male Adult Umbral Dragon (size huge)) (A Black or Iron Dragon mini would work well for this)
Sergeant Lashton (Male Human Dread Skeleton Fighter) (Lance, Full Plate, longsword)
-- Skeletal Nightmare
Human Skeletons x16 (longsword, full plate)
Scarwall Guard (Dread Skeleton Minotaur) (Need at least 5)
Skeletons and Zombies
1d6 greater shadows
1 dread wraith and 1d8 wratiths
Pegg and Loute (Human ghost experts, both jesters, one tall the other short)
Corpse Orgy (I used a Chaos Beast mini for this)
Dread Wraith
Malatrothe (Night Hag)
Cinder Ghouls
Danse Macabre (Probably best represented as a dread wraith with an aura)
Mithrodar (Male Human Chained Spirit) (Sort of an incorporeal ghost-like creature with chains. Maybe the chain devil mini would work here?)
Spectres (5)
Nessian Warhounds (3)
Captain Castothrane (Male Human Skeleton Warrior Fighter) (Battleaxe, full plate, heavy steel shield, flaming skull)
2 greater shadows
2 barbed devils
5 imps
Nihil (Female Ashmede Devil) (Large devil, fights with a scythe)
2 Bone Devils
General Gorstav (Male Human Juju Zombie Fighter) (Warhammer, Full Plate)
Prelate Aruth (Male Mummy Lord Cleric of Zon-Kuthon)
Bishop Zev Ravenka (Male Demilich) (Just a skull)
Ildervok (Nightwing)
Gugs (4) (Darklands creature - Grimlocks or something like that should work well for these)
Kleestad (Gargantuan abberation, kind of a worm-like humanoid -- the more disgusting, the better!)

Guys: Thanks a lot!! You are wonderful :)

Sort of related I compiled a list of the monsters which were mentioned in the random encounter lists at the end of each book, for which no stat-block had been provided in that book or elsewhere in the Arc. I have copied and pasted it straight from the Word document to present it here:

Not everyone uses the random encounter table, I appreciate. For the record 'PF #x' refers to a monster statted in the Rise of the Runelords arc, and 'TH' indicates a monster from the Tome of Horrors. Unfortunately, I have not listed monsters which do feature in adventures but for which stats were given in the Adventure Path on these lists. :(

"Unfortunately, I have not listed monsters which do feature in adventures but for which stats were given in the Adventure Path on these lists. :("

anyway, thanks a lot!
