I think I posted in this thread a couple of years ago. Anyway, I can now report the completion of Ph.D. I think that stands for Permanent Head Damage, but I can't remember.

Congratulations P of B....long time no "talking" to you my friend. Now I know why. Awesome!!

Congratulations Peruhain! This is quite an achievement.

EDIT: I´m planning to start a study to gain a M.A. in Conservation of Historic Buildings this fall, alongside my regular day job. I don´t want to think about how much leisure time I will have for the next two years...

I've got a couple of ho hum degrees, English lit. and Education - the thing that really left a mark on me was the 5th Dan in Wado Ryu Karate, plus it took about 5 times as long as the University work.

Associates Degree in Computer Animation from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, and a Bachelors in Japanese studies from the Ohio State University.

What is your education level?

I have a Masters Degree in Applied Math.

I dropped out of High School and work overnights at a Wal-Mart Supercenter. Laugh if you want but if you shop there you owe me thanks for keeping your precious Frosted Strawberry Poptarts stocked. I mean what has your fancy Masters degree ever done for the general public anyways? See I am making a difference man!

However I did take an online IQ Test that told me I had like a 136 or something. For whatever that's worth, probably nothing.

BS in "General Studies"
which I turned into a J.D.

(in case you are wondering- general studies means you have a degree you can do nothing with, except go somewhere else and get another degree..)

Frakkin' Righteous! :D Awesome!

My employer just upped monthly college incentive pay to $125 from $40. A master's would net me $25 more. That's $300 a year more....hmmmm....yeah, time to hit graduate school.

I have a Masters Degree in Mathematics from UCLA. I never used my degree for employment, although I did meet my wife in the Mathematics Department at UCLA, so it was useful.

I earned a B.S. and a Master's in Physics, which I use to educate young people on how to become mad scientists.

Hello F2K, Lillith, Stebehil and all the rest of you old-time "lords of the boards" out there. Glad to see you're all around occasionally. Not sure congratulations are in order--took me 13 years to finish, and I'm not entirely sure that a Ph.D. is worth it, in the end. Thus, Permanent Head Damage.
