What is your education level?

I have a Masters Degree in Applied Math.

I also teach undergraduate Communications courses at one of the local community colleges.

I went to college for about three years...but I had a lot of fun (and mostly learned to come out of my shell and actually talk to people...well, that, and to always drink a HUGE glass of water after a night of drinking alcohol). Now I work in a library and have the complete trust of your children....bwah-ha-ha-ha!

Oddly enough, I have several years of college and yet never strung anything together into anything resembling a degree
. . . I did however major in Accounting, Elementary Education, and Councelling, so you can see why all of those credits oddly didn't seem to mesh well into a cohesive unit.

I got my CCNP back in 2002 but I let if lapse back in August. Good luck with the program. Those tests are among the most difficult of the industry certification exams.

I´m not quite sure how german degrees translate into the US system, but I´ve studied architecture for four years, probably something like a bachelor degree or a bit more.
Now I´m working for the city government and help keeping historic buildings intact.

There were many Germans at the Univ. of Texas at El Paso when I went there from '86 to '88--anyone who had an Abitur only had to take about 4 semesters of classes to get a Bachelor's Degree, so I think your 4 years at a German Uni probably give the equivalent of a Master's Degree. Those who graduated from Realschule had to take only one semester more than those who had an Abitur, I believe.

BA in English (Creative Writing) from the University of Washington (plus Magna Cum Laude and all them other latin-y bits). I was headed for an MFA in writing, but then I landed here and realized I could actually get paid to write instead of the other way around. Who knew?

I may still go back to college someday, but honestly, working at Paizo really isn't all that different.

3) High school; courses in English
4) BA in Asian Languages; Law degree (IP)
5) High school
6) BSc in Anthropology; Masters in Archaeology; Doctorate in Archaeology (IP)
7) BSc in Physics
8) BSc in Engineering
9) BA in English; Elementary Education after degree (NC)
10) BA? in Political Science; Petroleum Engineering diploma

Just an example of the wide range of education backgrounds that can appear in one group.

I had to chuckle at a previous poster's comments regarding their BA in English, education, and councelling courses but now working for a phone company...identical to my situation! I wonder if they're as confused as I am as to how that happened...

When I started my Sociology major I knew that I had no other choice but to get a PhD with it. I want to be a professor so that wasn't a tough decision to make, but I think these days the way to make it with a degree in the humanities is to get a doctorate and stick it out in academia.

I have a two word reason for why I ended up working at a phone company: health insurance. Now I've been out of school for so long I'm not sure I want to pursue any graduate studies, though I may eventually do a MBA program since work will pay for that and judging by some of the MBAs I've met, it can't be that hard (which I'm sure does not apply to any MBAs on this board, :)).
