In my world you'd do better than a 15 INT with a 147 IQ. I know in the book they say about 1pt INT/10pts of IQ but that doesn't work out % wise. Even in the worst rolling system (3d6, cannot rearrange) 1 in 216 people get an 18 (1 in 6x6x6), so I look at it that way, with the numbers. So if you are in the top 0.5% (about 1 in 200) then you get an 18. I don't feel like figuring out what % of rolls is 15 or better, but it is a higher % then the number of people who have a 147 or better IQ, which is less than 1% of the population.

I'm not just biasing this because I've got some super IQ either and want to pad my self esteem because of my awesome IQ. I don't even know my IQ and I'd bet its lower than 147. So go ahead, give yourself a 17 INT, at least.

We played a game one time where the initial stats were the average of what the group thought your stat as a player were. We ended up with a bunch of physically average characters with 15 or 16 Int. This did not last long, because we played ourselves all week and most of us wanted to be something more as characters.

Anywhoo - I was making $40k until my entire office got laid off last year. The new job I have now is great (working for a library supply company), but I've got a while before I hit those lofty heights again.
Needless to say, I am sooooo grateful for the Pathfinder Advantage... :)
