The Wizard in my group decided to fool around w/ the horns while the where having Allustan examine the box & other contents there-in passing over the horns as mundane. Seeing as that the Circlet has a Legacy of sorts I decided the Horns would as well. I had the horns absorbed by his body when he placed them to his brow & fall unconsciious, when he awakens a few days later his body will have changed slightly as it has been corrupted by the taint of Mishka. i plan on it leading him on a path of corruption during the rest of the campaign and it goes along perfectly w/ the player's character concept.
Any ideas, suggestions or opinions on what I can do w/ it from here; anything is welcome.

Maybe you could look at the Acolyte of the Skin PrC from Complete Arcane for ideas about a gradual transition in a more fiendish, corrupted nature; I don't remember all the requirements, but for your game and concept, you could easily rule that having absorbed the horns qualifies him for the class so long as he meets the basic spellcasting requirements. Possibly, you could even use that class as a template for the gradual transition and rule that he has to gain levels in it unless he somehow removes the evil taint from himself, with the proper quest + Atonement spell.

My thoughts exactly! Maybe also rule the horns are like some form of fiendish graft (from Fiend Folio and a few other sources) and grant some unusual powers/curses (or both!). The dwarf barbarian in my group just attached them to his helmet and has been showing them off to people ever since.

Just reread my whispering cairn and was going to comment on the horns. The cairn belongs to a lesser soldier in the war so its doubtful he would have such a prize in his tomb. But each player can run how they want, so feel free to make them Miska's horns, or Miska's mom's horns, or Miska's mom's mom's horns. :)
I'm considering adding some weapons of legacy stuff to my campaign, but right now its stuffed to the gills on backstory. They are starting the AoW storyline combined with their orignal "avenge your slain mentor" storyline.

A couple of Dragon back issues, don't remember which ones, but I back ordered the one for sorcerers, had rules for running a Tainted Character, aquiring the Taint of the outer plans and being corrupted by the powers received. I'm running this with one of my PC's, blending rules for both a couple levels of half-fiend, a couple levels as sorceror and at present, three levels as a tainted sorceror, unbeknownedst to him, although he's getting the hint with all the Will Saves I'm having him roll. I know there was a fire motif with a a dragon-ish head and an elemental fire woman on the cover.
Follow-up: Dragon # 302.

I reread that section and I couldn't find anything that mentions Kizarvidexus. From the what we got from the passage was that the horns belonged to Mishka because that is whom they keep mentioning. I is beleivable that him being the last slain by Mishla's final attack, he would be burried w/ all that remained of Mishka. In 3.5 is Mishka still imprisoned on Pandemonium w/ his Essence trapped w/in the Rod of 7 Parts??

Semi-Hidden Backstory behind the horns: The carving on the wall of Zosiel's tomb shows Zosiel being destroyed by a sphere of anihilation used by a horned demon. This demon was a unique demon who served the Queen of Chaos—his name was Kizarvidexus (we reveal this in issue #128, page 33). Some time after Kizarvidexus destroyed Zosiel, the demon himself was slain by another wind duke name Icosiol. Icosiol cut off Kizarvidexus's horns and brought them to Zosiel's tomb and left them there as a way to honor Zosiel and to show his spirit that his death had been avenged.
Kizarvidexus himself is a new name—he has not appeared in any D&D product before. He's dead now, but that doesn't mean he won't appear in any D&D product in the future. He isn't scheduled to appear in the Age of Worms, though.
