This piece is amazing. It is nearly perfect. The sculpt inside and out and the paint job are great. In a world so full of dungeons, this is a very useful item. The one small issue I have with it (not enough to lose a star) is that the hinges could have been designed better. If not opened and closed carefully they feel like they could break, although I haven't actually had this happen. If you really want a mini to fit inside, you can do it with a few small modifications. Step 1: Find a very skinny mini like a skeleton, zombie, or there are a few humanoids that will fit. Step 2: Use the heat from a hair dryer or wood burning pen to bend the skelly/etc into a stance that will fit inside. Step 3: Cut the base off of the Iron Maiden and place the Iron Maiden over top of the skelly mini, now the skelly's base becomes the Iron Maiden's base. Now when you open the Iron Maiden, revealing the skelly inside, you can make the skelly walk out of the Iron Maiden bringing its base with it and leaving the free standing Iron Maiden behind without the base.
THE GOOD:
1 star for a very cool exterior.
1 star for it being able to open and close nicely.
THE BAD:
Minus 1 star for not even a small mini fitting inside.
THE UGLY:
Minus 2 stars for it replacing a LARGE miniature but being only of medium size!
I had high hopes for this mini but sadly it only looks nice but is not able to hide a mini inside.
When you open a booster and find 4 medium sized (or smaller) minis inside you know how i felt.
