The city of Celwynvian hides a terrible sin. For countless centuries the elves of the Mierani Forest have barred outsiders from the fabled City of Emerald Rains, in a desperate attempt to contain an ancient shame. But as a new power rises in the depths, the elves’ secret threatens not only to escape, but to rain down devastation upon the entire world. In desperation, elven eyes fall to a band of outsiders for aid. Tread the forsaken ground of Celwynvian, once one of the greatest capitals of elven culture, now a graveyard haunted by the spirits of the past, foul dragons, demons, and worse. Discover the darkest secret of the Mierani Forest and the truth of the cataclysm known as Earthfall. And dare to shed the bonds of eternity and pay witness to an apocalypse that has borne out a thousand times and threatens to devastate Golarion once more!

Pathfinder is Paizo Publishing's 96-page, perfect-bound, full-color softcover Adventure Path book printed on high-quality paper that releases in a monthly volume. Each volume is brought to you by the same staff which brought you Dragon and Dungeon magazines for over five years. It contains an in-depth Adventure Path scenario, stats for about a half-dozen new monsters, and several support articles meant to give Game Masters additional material to expand their campaign. This is a great module. I ran it online with a group of 6.
The Good:
-Tons of great lore to experience. If your players really dig the backstory of Golarion they'll really be into this run.
-Plenty of room for a GM to create. Its a very open story so if you like inserting extra stuff, then your going to have the room to do it here. If you prefer running as written you'll also be fine.
-Some good RP options are available here with complex NPCs.
The Bad
-The combats are not that impressive. So much more can be done with the dragon fight than is actually presented.
All said and done, this has been my favorite installment so far. Really has me and my friends looking forward to book 4.
There are a lot of fun skirmishes but it can quickly turn deadly if the GM utilizes the full potential of the Drows' darkness ability, at least if it is a party of character without darkvision. I would suggest using alternative light and darkness rules, not just for this but in general.
The problem with this adventure path is the lack of motivation player characters are handed. There seems to be no good reason for them to keep fighting a fight that they are not wanted in, nor seem to have much stake in. A little GM tinkering could probably solve this though.
With all the delays, is the delay of 14 in customs coupled with the pushback of 15 going to cause another 2 issue August next year? I know you guys got quite a bit of flack over it (even if August is the traditional heavy month for RPG fans - GenCon releases being what they are.)

No—the only significant delay here is that 14, which should have shipped in September, instead shipped in early October. 15 is still (and was always) scheduled for October.
I'm really excited about this one. I have been dieing to know what the stats are on that mega bad a$$ drow wizard on the cover. He may very well be the coolest drow art I have ever seen (with the exception of maybe Brom's WotSQ covers). The end of the month can't come soon enough.
Looking at the pdf, this product is full of awesome. The acticle on the drow had incredible art and some of the best "drow" ideas I have seen generated in a long time. I liked the adventure and found the Armageddon Echo itself to be a phenominal site based adventure component. I was a little disappointed in the build of Novelniss as I expected him to be some kind of drow demon master with the art on the cover, so I was a little "meh" about the direction you chose to take him.
The iconics are awesome and I am loving their party mix. Seltyiel is looking sweet and already has started into Eldritch Knight, which I think completely rocks. I am glad you guys decided to go ahead and use a PRC for him as it makes that multiclass build way more effective. On the whole I give this adventure 5 stars. The support articles would get 6 stars if that were possible. Keep up the great work.
Minor quibble, on p. 72 the character's 'race' is left out of her stat-block. (It mentions that she's an 'assimar' (heh, I always worried about mis-spelling that one...), but doesn't mention what *else* she's become.)
Spoiler:
Ghost? Banshee? Unique undead of some sort, based off of her origin as a 'spirit of creativity?'
I'm really glad that they've started posting when the PDFs will become available. I will definitely buy the print product as well, but it helps me to know (roughly) when things will be available for sale (so I can budget for them).
I still haven't received issue 15, though it's showing that it shipped on the 24th and should have taken 8 days at most. I'm not sure how to find my tracking number. How do I determine why I haven't gotten my book yet?

Hmm, it is definitely very late. A replacement will go out with Pathfinder #16.
None of the Second Darkness or Legacy of Fire adventures are (or will be) sanctioned for Pathfinder Society play. They share this status with Wrath of the Righteous and Hell's Vengeance.
Council of Thieves, Kingmaker, Strange Aeons, and Ironfang Invasion are not yet sanctioned for PFS, but probably will be eventually, along with most yet-unreleased Adventure Paths.
(Individual elements from these adventures may appear on the Additional Resources page, of course.)
