COMMUNITY
DCC RPG has an active community fan base. There are many online communities as well as physical gatherings worldwide. Scores of events are run annually at conventions and gatherings around the world, both physical and online, including a massive team tournament at GenCon each year. A number of fan web sites exist to provide community content, such as character generators, dice rolling tools, and more. Our GenCon booth is the annual gathering of the fans, featuring a Gong of Doom and Obelisks of Doom.

The winner of the Mystery Map Adventure Design Competition! In June 2012, Goodman Games sponsored a special adventure design competition. Our Free RPG Day 2012 adventure module included an incomplete adventure map. Readers could complete the map, send in their associated adventure proposal, and compete for a $1,000 contract to write that adventure. A panel of distinguished judges read the flood of proposals, and finally whittled the field down to a handful of contenders. After lengthy debate, a winner was chosen.
This adventure is the winner of the Mystery Map Adventure Design Competition. There were many great submissions to the competition, but Jobe Bittman’s stood out above them all. This adventure has a strong Appendix N theme, unique encounters that your players will remember for a long time, many highly visual scenes that will stand out in your players’ minds, and some terrific twists and turns. The Spinning Wheel Puzzle: This adventure includes a number of supernatural locations. The entrance to one is blocked by a supernatural door. This door comprises a special spinning wheel puzzle that forms a central puzzle in the adventure:
Beyond the ancient bridge is a 40’ wide, 30’ deep ledge that lies perpendicular to a sheer rock face. Set into the rocky cliff at the far side of the ledge stands a great stone archway sealed by an imposing door. Blue bolts of lightning ripple silently across the door’s face, hinting at magical wards or seals. In the center of the door are three circular dials set one inside the next. Each dial bears several different symbols, no two of which repeat.
Artist Doug Kovacs has rendered this door in a beautiful player handout. What’s the solution? You’ll have to buy the module to find out!
To add additional replay value, author Michael Curtis has also designed five additional game mechanisms that utilize the spinning wheel (more puzzles, magic items, etc.). These are included with the adventure module and can be used in your group's future adventures.

Sages will state that the denizens of the underworld are, by necessity, alien to surface dwellers such as ourselves. Few will ever stand on the ink-black shores of Lost Agharta, and even fewer will return to tell the tale. Those that do report creatures transmuted by their deadly environs and the weird gloom. These creatures of legend owe no allegiance or kinship to the beasts of our lit-realms, and woe to the adventurer who mistakes them for familiar foes.

A level 3 DCC RPG adventure
The Gulf area of the North American Empire has always been subject to tropical storms and hurricanes. On rare occasions the area is even hit by naturally occurring weather infused with arcane energy. It was just so in mid August of 2016 when a huge rainstorm settled over the middle part of the Duchy. Green and black lightning bolts crackling with eldritch energy, the booming harmonics of magical thunder, and incessant rain were constant for the next five days. The flooding was vast in scope and several entire towns and cities were completely submerged, as were most of the roads between them.
Xcrawl athletes and fans alike wanted to help. Duke Edward Bell of Baton Rouge authorized a charity Xcrawl event to help fund relief efforts, signing off on the edict from a skiff near the flooded Ducal Palace. Conveniently, his niece Annabel was an up and coming Xcrawl judge, and was more than willing to help out family!
This is a level 3 adventure that can be played with only the core DCC RPG book!
