When we decided to do a the Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Inner Sea Poster Map Folio, I used my super-CEO powers for good. "I want us to put every single location we've ever mentioned on this map," I ordered, thinking of the Greyhawk map that I helped put together for Dungeon Magazine a few years back. I then realized that somebody was going to have to go through all of our products to pull out every single location name we ever mentioned. "Somebody" turned out to be yours truly plus Mark Moreland, who was brought in as a contractor to do this work before being hired into the Paizo collective. Before you knew it, we had huge spreadsheets with long, long lists of rivers, mountains, villages, and castles, along with what we knew about them. Then James Jacobs made his way through them, resolving discrepancies and sorting out a few things that were just too tiny to show up on the map. In the end, the map had all the detail that I was hoping for and more!

See the Inner Sea as you never have before! Discover adventures you never knew existed and make your mark on the Pathfinder Campaign Setting with the Inner Sea Poster Map Folio! This enormous mega-map depicts the Inner Sea region of Golarion, the thrilling heart of the Pathfinder campaign setting. Four quadrant posters form a comprehensive view of the Inner Sea region, measuring 3-1/2 feet wide by over 5 feet tall—that’s almost 20 square feet of adventure! Distinct and easy-to-read tags mark hundreds of towns, villages, castles, dungeons, and other intriguing locations drawn from the complete catalogue of Pathfinder offerings to date. Check out every mappable locale in the encyclopedic Inner Sea World Guide, as well as sites from Pathfinder Adventure Paths, Pathfinder Modules, and Golarion’s history and current events, all revealed as never before. Printed on durable, high-quality paper, this invaluable world reference will endure campaign after campaign.

We may have lost Mark as a player and comrade in our campaign, but we have gained a mighty map.

Great trade ! All sales are final !

Clearly Paizo needs to add "extra large gaming table" to whichever subscription line includes all these big maps. :)

The PDF prints out in 4 beautiful pages. You can even read the names if you squint or purchase a magnifying glass for 100 gp.

Thanks for getting my REM reference. :) For just a few seconds, I was tempting to filk the song with all Golarion references. Just for a second. Until the enormity of the task hit me (do you know how many words are in those lyrics)?

I was going to be a bit more subtle and say that this map is so large it's causing me to have a crisis of faith.

Fewer (I think) than say, We Didn't Start the Fire or Life Is a Rock (But the Radio Rolled Me), either of which would also provide many opportunities for Golarion references.

I took a stab at it, but the original REM lyrics seem almost randomly generated, which make direct parody extremely difficult. Spoilered below are the original lyrics and my incomplete Pathfinderized version:

REM lyrics:
That's great, it starts with an earthquake, birds and snakes,
an aeroplane - Lenny Bruce is not afraid.
Eye of a hurricane, listen to yourself churn,
world serves its own needs, dummy serve your own needs.
Feed it off an aux speak,, grunt, no, strength,
The ladder starts to clatter with fear fight down height.
Wire in a fire, representing seven games, a government for hire and a combat site.
Left of west and coming in a hurry with the furies breathing down your neck.
Team by team reporters baffled, trumped, tethered cropped.
Look at that low playing!
Fine, then.
Uh oh, overflow, population, common food, but it'll do.
"Save yourself, serve yourself. World serves its own needs, listen to your heart bleed
dummy with the rapture and the revered and the right - right."
You vitriolic, patriotic, slam, fight, bright light, feeling pretty psyched.

It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

Six o'clock - TV hour. Don't get caught in foreign towers.
Slash and burn, return, listen to yourself churn.
Locking in, uniforming, book burning, blood letting.
Every motive escalate. Automotive incinerate.
Light a candle, light a votive. Step down, step down.
Watch your heel crush, crushed. Uh-oh, this means no fear cavalier.
Renegade steer clear! A tournament, a tournament, a tournament of lies.
Offer me solutions, offer me alternatives and I decline.

It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it. (It's time I had some time alone)
It's the end of the world as we know it (It's time I had some time alone) and I feel fine.
(I feel fine)

It's the end of the world as we know it. (It's time I had some time alone)
It's the end of the world as we know it. (It's time I had some time alone)
It's the end of the world as we know it (It's time I had some time alone) and I feel fine.

The other night I dreamt of knives, continental drift divide. Mountains sit in a line
Leonard Bernstein. Leonid Brezhnev. Lenny Bruce and Lester Bangs.
Birthday party, cheesecake, jelly bean, boom!
You symbiotic, patriotic, slam book neck, right? Right.

It's the end of the world as we know it. (It's time I had some time alone)
It's the end of the world as we know it. (It's time I had some time alone)
It's the end of the world as we know it (It's time I had some time alone) and I feel fine.

PFRPG lyrics:
That's all, it starts with the Earthfall, crash and burn,
an Inner Sea and Aroden does not return.
Eye of Abendego, where did Azlant go?
Hell serves its own needs, contract may serve your needs.
Level up, improve a stat - DEX, no STR.
The Storval Stairs to plateau raised to a great height.
Rune in a star representing seven sins, a decadent empire and an ancient site.
Casmaron and Garund, Avistan and Sarusan, and the Crown of the World
Society of Pathfinders wander, seeking, digging, writing,
Look at that Wayfinder!
Ioun stone.
Uh oh, Worldwound, an invasion - mariliths and glabrezus.
"Heal yourself, restore yourself, smite enables great deeds, cantrips cause bleed,
Should we kill or capture, and make sure to count the loot -- twice. "
A Varisian paladin, Hellknight, quite a sight, aligned to the far right.

I have a 5' x 10' gaming table that would certainly hold it, but it's not going to. Mine is going on the WALL! :)

Don't worry, it's all the in the basement, the wife won't disown me. At least not for that... =P

Glad you liked it. I'm here to please. :)

Now, start making "Shiny Happy People" references, and I might have to run through Paizo HQ with a large semiautomatic weapon. :)

I'm with Denis Leary on that one - "Hey hey hey - Pull that bus over to the side of the pretentiousness turnpike! I want the shiny people over here, and the happy people over here. I represent angry, gun-toting, meat-eating $*#ing people. Sit down and shut up, Michael!"

I can't find Jorgenfist on this map. As a fortress of giants, it's got to be at least as large as Sandpoint.

I realize there's no way to get every single named location onto a map, but this is a place the PCs actually visit in one of the most popular adventure paths.

I wasn't looking for the Valley of the Black Tower. Perhaps that location is shown? If not, do we at least know from some other source what set of hills/mountains surround that valley?

Lantern Lodge

I love my map. It is in my gaming room (Kitchen/Dinning Room thing) on the wall and my wife loves it as much as I do. It brings color to the white walls, LOL.
