WOW. I LOVE how these look! I might have to just buy this from my FLGS instead of subscribing.

Love this cover!

The only way to get a PDF with a purchase is through the subscriptions. So no.

Elfteiroh is correct here! Without a Starfinder Roleplaying Game Ongoing Subscription, you'll need to purchase the PDF separately here!

I'm not really a fan of the new Starfinder retail covers.

I've been enjoying picking up the alternate Pathfinder covers at my FLGS. The sketch art versions, which look great. But the Starfinder retail covers don’t feel like an upgrade. Even the retailer seemed confused about which one was supposed to be the special edition; I had to point it out for him.

The featured art is smaller and surrounded by a frame that doesn’t match the style of the artwork at all. Maybe if the metallic frame had a shiny or foil effect, it would feel more premium.

I like supporting my FLGS, and I’ve even bought Pathfinder books I would’ve skipped just to get the alternate cover. But with Starfinder, these new covers just don’t feel special. I’m not really drawn to them.

…just want to mention I can understand how some people do not like this new version of the Retailer Incentive books, but I personally do like them.
I purchased the Galaxy Guide Retailer Incentive version in May; the StarFinder Player Core Retailer Incentive version on July 31; and I have a pre-order for the StarFinder GM Core Retail Incentive version.
I might not purchase the Alien Core Retailer Incentive version (I will instead probably purchase the Alien Core Pocket Edition).
These copies are in addition to my subscription for the Limited Edition (I will keep my Limited Edition copies at home & use the Retailer Editions at Society games at my FLGS).
I did not purchase the Sketch versions (of the PF2e books), but I know several people who did.

Thank you for this too! It’s good to have feedback from all aspects of the spectrum!

Awesome! Thanks for listening

Wayfinders

I really like the PF2e remaster sketch covers, because the sketch art reminded me of art in the old original D&D books, although the remaster sketch covers are way better than the old art.

I felt the sketch covers worked great for PF2e, but wouldn't for SF2e, so glad to see that something else was chosen. When I first saw the retail covers for SF2e online, nothing really stood out for me; there's not a bold difference like the sketch covers have. But when I got the the local game store and had both side by side in my hands, the retail cover is the one that came home with me.
