A Starfinder Society Scenario designed for 5th- through 8th-level characters.

The Starfinders have vowed to stop the Organization, a mysterious and violent criminal syndicate whose true name remains unknown and whose machinations threaten the lives of millions. Digging into the Organization’s past has revealed an interest in ancient Ulumbia, a long destroyed civilization from Deepwater Prime with few archaeological remains of value or importance. So why the interest? Travel to Deepwater Prime to unearth the secrets of ancient Ulumbia—a mission destined to drive the Starfinders into direct conflict with important agents of the Organization.

    Brutally difficult and a little combat heavy

    This was an anticipated continuation of the years metaplot and I am a little weirded out that this is now the 2nd one in a row where basically our mission is to murder all the members of the Organization.

    That said, Ulumbia is a legitimately interesting bit of plot thread that I wish we had been able to flesh out more. Freyan seemed redeemable with his passion for the subject and I am a little disappointed that there was no mechanic or story beat for that possibility.

    The building itself had some very strong setting detail.

    But that final fight is so overtuned and brutal, with the terrain turning an already hard fight into a situation that was just one bad roll away from tpk.

    Strange adventure; good time just a little off.

    The organization strikes back! You head to a dig site and while investigating you discover that the organization is hot on your tails trying to silence you once and for all. Middle part of the mod gets bogged down in a sandbox that is kinda hard to navigate. The infiltration mission is okay but it just feels under powered, even the boss fight feels like it needed a couple of minions to up the stakes. It is also a quick mod and took roughly 2 hours and 45 minutes to complete. Its not as bad as some of the other offerings in Season 6 but still nothing really has invigorated me like the Jinsul war from season 1.

    Weird, inconsequential personal trivia about an NPC in this scenario:

    Spoiler:
    When Almina was introduced in #5-11, I found that I needed some art of her for my home game. Failing to spot a physical description, I made her up from scratch in Hero Forge, giving her green hair. Then I noticed that she is briefly described (as having purple hair).

    And now that we have official art, her hair is green! Feychild gnomes, man, they keep you on your toes.

    Sad there's no art of Bixel, but otherwise a great scenario.
