Vermin coos the the bugs, and pulling some spoiled food from a pouch on his belt offers it to all three of them.

I have no idea what the DC is for this of if I get a modifier for offering food. But as a blight druid my wild empathy does indeed work on vermin.

Taking a 5' step to E1, Fung hops with two quick kicks at the beetle's tough carapace.

Oh...the bugs? I wasn't even going to attack them until Vermy took a swing and missed. The way he was swinging his staff made me afraid for his health. It's ok though...I took care of them for him!
