This scenario was retired from Pathfinder Society Organized Play on October 31, 2023. After that date, it will no longer be legal for Pathfinder Society Organized Play and will no longer be available in the Pathfinder Society Organized Play reporting system.
A Pathfinder Society Quest designed for levels 3–6 (subtiers 3–4 and 5–6).
Geb is a nation well-known for being ruled by the undead, but many are surprised to find that it is also the primary source of exported fruits and vegetables for the nations bordering the Obari Ocean. While its zombie laborers have long and successfully tended to its fields, creating produce that is essential to Geb's political standing with its neighbors, some of these shipments haven't been making it to their intended destinations, and the Pathfinders have been asked to serve as neutral arbiters during an investigation that will take place near the docks of Geb's greatest port.

I really enjoyed this one. Geb isn't a place you get to go to very often, and the GM can make this feel really different from other places in terms of their descriptions. There are folks to talk to, and a combat with a twist that clever PCs can uncover, in a place with interesting terrain. Overall a fun introduction for new players and interesting for Golarion veterans alike.
Only caveats: maybe not the best quest to choose as a new GM. A lot of the fun comes from the GM being able to portray the unique environment of Geb, and to improvise two NPCs in conversation at once. Without those elements, or as just a combat without the setting and build-up, this could be a bit flat.
Adorable little scenario, adding a light touch and some intrigue the the dark tone and tenor of Nex. The combat was not particularly challenging, but it was interesting. The skill test suffers from what many skill-tests do – a tendency to “roll the dice and see what happens,” but it is easy enough for GMs (including our GM) to soften that and engage in some interesting role-playing.
This quest follows the format of one skill challenge and one combat encounter. It also takes place in Geb, a nation that remains relatively unexplored in official adventures, and has a neat little mini-mystery that my party enjoyed.
The skill challenge allowed multiple approaches and multiple attempts. The text clearly explains to the GM exactly how to run the challenge, which isn't always the case.
The combat incorporates mechanics for fighting creatures that are different from what initial appearances suggest. I liked this mechanic in the 1E Scenario "Breath of the Dragonskull" and I'm glad to see it in 2E.
My one suggestion for improving the combat would be to explicity state the height of the crates and whether they're difficult terrain.
The lore of this location is great. Love pretty much anything that is in Geb, which makes this quest a tad disappointing.
Travel all the way down the coast of Garund for... fruit? Couldn't they have sent someone local?
The fact that there were 2 guards + Zombies with no stats is problematic for our Iomedaens and other anti-undead folk, which are quite popular given that a very recent plotline has been an undead invasion.
The Flesh Golems with Elite adjustment are also very uninteresting as they can't berserk so they are just move -> FIST, repeat. Uninteresting.

Hm. Quests are not part of the PFS scenario sub, as I recall.

It does. And I still can't order or pre-order it. :-(
So wait a check, bot this and falcon descent will be out this month just this one being one day earlier?
And also the new Bounty, Whitefang Wyrm, whose product page should be going up soon. We normally release the July and August adventures all around the same time for GenCon, though the particulars of those releases may vary a bit; I'm not certain if the August releases go out to everyone or if they're limited release to GMs for GenCon and then broader public release at the normal time.
Effective immediately, Pathfinder Quest #12: Putrid Seeds is Retired. It cannot be purchased and will not be dropped to new VOs. It may not be run for credit and has been removed from the reporting system.
