Agreed. Not to be rude but I hate the Paizo boards. The lack of editing after an hour is maddening, I want signatures, player created polls, and subsections. Oh, and has anyone else noticed some serious stability issues within the last month?
Phpbb. It is the answer to all our problems. And it wouldn't take that long to set up on the GoblinWorks site.

It's been said before the reason there isn't signatures is because they take up too much space and don't add a lot. Besides, you have your own profile to edit. Just click your name. A lot of other people on the forums don't really want and some actually like that these features are excluded (I'm one of them).
There's also this from the "PostMonster General"
If you mean the thing where you insert tags that will embed an image hosted somewhere other than paizo.com directly in the page, no we will not be doing that. The main reasons are: Remotely hosted images can be changed maliciously to become pornographic or shock images. It is a security risk. And most importantly, we prefer people to use their words rather than depending on a "U MAD BRO" image macro to communicate. There's lots of places on the internet for that kind of thing, just not here.
On a more serious note: imagine that embedded in my signature. Right next to a kitten tripping and a puppy smiling at you.
You would get to see that every single time I posted. Over and over and over.
And everyone would get to do that.
So, yeah, no thank you. No "modern" forum things like sigs and embedded images, please and thank you.

As for Player created polls, not sure why. Generally, from what I've seen is someone makes a poll thread post, then post several posts (there's nothing against double posts from what I've seen) with the options, and people "vote" by "favoriting" those posts. Subsections may be because it sounds like they plan to move over to their website, so it would be wasted effort. And then being here a year or so, I think the stability issues within the last month may be the kickstarter and people visiting the site. I believe the Tech Demo caused similar issues.
edit: here's the original thread: Thread

@Rafkin Less downtime sure =b .. I'm mostly concerned with how crazy bad it gets when you're waiting a full minute for a page to load.
I've actually never had issues with this forum being slow. Around the holidays it seemed the whole site was down a few times. Kept getting a message about the Paizo Store being down.

If you are having issues with the forums the place to go is the Website Feedback forum.

How can you go to the forum if you are having issues with the forums? :)
In any case, my hope is they eventually split their forums off somewhere else and hopefully host them some where other than at Paizo.
In the meantime community fan site forums will also potentially work (once I finish the site )
