It is a useful piece. I can think of a number of ways to integrate this book. The book details are good. The clawed stand doesn't have a lot of detail. I like that the book can be separated from the stand, but it also doesn't stay on that well. Maybe if it snapped on somehow, it would be better.
Be careful on this one, the book is really small and easy to miss when you open the bag. I didn't realize that the book was in there and almost threw it away!. Other then that, I find the painting on this and the entire set, is not up to par to the previous releases. The painting is minimal and looks hurried as for example, the base looked to be just a coat of flat black... no shading or highlighting.
GOOD:
This SMALL mini (which replaces a medium inside the booster) consists of a base that looks like two blackened skeletal hands which hold a tablet, and a book with a green-eyed skeletal face on it which can be seperated from the tablet.
The book looks very cool: brown leather with gold bindings and the aforementioned face - The book of the Damned from the three Campaign Settings of the same name.
Edit: While the bookstand is only mono-colored black, it is pretty detailed and it is small (not tiny), just like the book.
BAD:
nothing.
UGLY:
nothing
Great for a wizards book or an occult text like the Necronomicon.
