Something about me - I've been running live games for a few years now, and I do have a few campaigns in PbP under my collar as well, but - If you find anything that can be improved, feel free to point it out.

Some extra stuff to keep games flowing:

Since we are sort of pressed for time in these specials, in case of an extended period of absence, I would like your permission to bot the character, or delegate this to one of the other players in the thread (in case of interest - I wouldn’t simply say “X bots Y” and carry on). With the following in mind, would you agree to being botted?

Me (or the players botting you) would try to not use any consumables in your inventory, or abilities or class features with limited use (x/day stuff such as spells, channel energy, stunning fist, inspiration, and so on) until deemed necessary to ensure the survival of one or more characters in the party.

Botting posts would be as sterile as possible, to not put words into your character’s mouth. We do this because we try to not post something the character would never say due to their convictions, life philosophy, or whatever other reasons they might have. It’s always better if you (as the ‘owner’ of the character) come in later, and fill the blanks if needed.

If you agree to the above, please set up a bot me section in the character profile containing your most common rolls and listing any feats that might alter said rolls.

Additionally, please make sure to put relevant information (initiative, perception, saves, other common rolls, etc) about your character into a spoiler included in all your posts. This can be done with the Classes/Levels field in the character profile. If you have questions how, don't be afraid to ask.

Let me tell you what's going on with me. First, I'm not dead nor fading away. However, after a week of illness and a week of reasonably ill vacationing, I'm now stranded without access to the Internet (I'm writing this from my mother's house, which is definitely not a long-term solution).

Then, the team of electricians who were going to wire my house were in an automobile accident and several were injured. So still no Internet.

Other electricians are coming to wire my house for the Internet and -hope- they can do it by next Friday.

Trying to stay connected by iPad has proved too difficult when I can summon at most 1 or 2 bars at my house. Thus, I'm just going to be offline for a bit. I'm sorry, but now you know why.

Today I was informed that we will not make the deadline to finish my current mission. I am truly sorry for this. Good luck to everyone.

Stugbu just finished a game yesterday. I thought we'd finish well on time but the last battle turned into a doozy.

Yet another melee brute at the table. This could be interesting depending on what we get thrown at us this game.

Here is an update on my situation:

GOOD NEWS:
At long last my house has been wired for Internet and my service is on.

BAD NEWS:
My computer seems to have suffered total failure in the move, possibly from static discharge. So I now have no computer. If it weren’t for bad luck I’d have had no luck at all lately.

THE PLAN:
I have ordered a new motherboard and CPU from NewEgg. They should arrive tomorrow. I built the computer myself and so should be able to rebuild it. I hope to be up and running by the Monday the 27th, but see my previous comments on luck...

Okee-dokee. I think we're ready to roll.

After more than a month, I've finally gotten Internet access again. Seems as though the site's been down most of that time, so not much loss there.

On the other hand, I'm leaving on Monday the 3rd for a week at the beach with my kids and won't have any access out there, either. I'll try to catch up this weekend at the least.

The recent weeks of forum instability have been a bit discouraging. I am considering an alternative at the moment. I thought of setting up a discord server for this with a dice bot in case of a forum crash.

Could we do that, or does someone have another alternative in mind?

I'm personally happy just working within the Paizo forums and hoping that their recent stability over the last few days remains the norm and that we have seen the worst of the site outages.

Not overly keen on taking the game to another virtual location, even temporarily, although will happily go with the majority decision on this.

I have to agree with you on that. I don't fancy the idea either, but if the site starts crashing again, I wanted to have a backup. I'll start to post more frequently if possible, to catch up on lost time and possibly get ahead in case an outage happens again.

I might have accidentally ticked you when removing the other players. Just dot into the gameplay thread and you''ll be back on the list. If not, let me know and I'll try to remedy it.

A quick heads up from me, since I'm on the phone now. I probably won't be able to post today, so feel free to fluff stuff out while I am gone. Work trip has me busy.

Just a heads up that I leave for an 11 day trip out of the country on the 19th. I'll have an ipad and can post some but will not be reliable.

Thanks for the heads up. This scenario is a lot of "prep-time", and then a rapid chain of combat encounters. We're getting there. I assume we'll have two of them done by the time you are leaving. We can wait after that if you wish. You folks decide.
