Force Damage and Damage Reduction Question

Hey everyone. I was hoping to see if someone could help me clear up an issue regarding force damage spells and DR. You see, I was originally under the impression that force damage spells overcame all forms of DR, but I can't seem to find statement quoted anywhere in pathfinder. Does such a rule still exist? If so, where is it stated? Thanks again for the help.

Spells in general (not just force spells) are unaffected by damage reduction.

From the Core Rulebook glossary on Damage Reduction (top of page 562):

PRD wrote:

Spells, spell-like abilities, and energy attacks (even nonmagical fire) ignore damage reduction.

Some DMs (myself included) still have DR apply against spells that specify they deal bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage, however.

Thanks for the help. Typically speaking, our own DMs houserule the same thing in regards to spells that use those descriptors, but I was just making sure I wasn't making a mistake.
