So.... how do they heal?
Basically, this.
I love the concept, and the pdf, but it feels like it needs more. I'd love to see a feat that gives more construct points. At least 4 more. Right now, a living doll can't be brought to life AND have darkvision. So it just has darkvision but isn't a living doll? How are they healed? Is it Repair Damage, which is a 3.5 spell? How about a sewing kit that is the equivalent of the Healer's Kit? And if you use two uses of it, allows you to reattach missing appendages.
As good as this is, it's needs more for its price. A web enhancement that gives us monstrous dolls, or the ability to change limbs (see Toy Story and the Lego movies), would be great. More feats so you can enhance the doll, and even a conversion of the slaymate (Libris Mortis) and carrionette (Dragon Magazine 339, AD&D Monstrous Manual).
Not much is needed, just a couple of things here and there.

Is there going to be a 5e version of this book?
Also hoping for answers for the above questions. I know it's been seven years, but still.
I'm sorry -- we're not in the habit of looking at older releases on Paizo.com
We DID include a 5e version in our Shadows over Vathak Zine #1. You can read a review of it on DriveThruRPG.com or on Endzeitgeist's website that he did. The book itself can be found on DriveThruRPG.com -- we never bothered to load it to Paizo.com as it's a 5th Ed book.
Here's a Link Vathak Times Zine #1
As for the mechanical issues -- we're sorry and I don't think we ever did address them in any meaningful way anywhere. The author, Nick, has used living dolls extensively in his own games and likely has a bunch of workarounds and house rules but I don't think we ever collected them.
There are a lot of spells for mending and ways to "repair" via magic and the like that came out over the years. In particular I'd look (Archives of Neyths links)
Rules for Repairing Constructs
Make Whole Spell
Mending Spell
Rapid Repair Spell
Field Repair Feat
Mundane Mending Kit
Mundane Mending Paste
Hope those help

I read over the review from End. It's unfortunate that stuffed animal and wooden doll didn't make it as subraces. Maybe in a later magazine issue we can revisit this race and add two more subraces. Maybe even a subclass. The mother bear barbarian was my favourite, but I'd be just as content with seeing toy soldier or possessed doll (swap to sorcerer instead of oracle). Voodoo doll could possible work with wizard.

At the time, when my design chops were...inexperienced compared to now, they had a rule called "Spark of Life" which let them heal as living creatures. It was simple, and balanced, but not good design, and kind of lame/boring. They're more souls in non-meat bodies than automations.
Here are some of the rules I've used at my home table, depending on the game, and how I want the feel of the campaign.
1) Healing works on them if the healer qualifies as an ally, as defined by Inspire Courage.
2) Healing spells work on them, but the dice are limited by the casters Craft: Construct skill rank. A Cleric casting CMW with a Craft: Construct of 5 ranks can't roll higher than a 5 on each of the d8s.
3) I use the warforged healing rules from Eberron.
4) They only heal by being repaired, but they can repair themselves. Again, using Craft: Construct.
I also allow all of those rules to be bent. For example, with the Artifice domain, or for sure the Construct sub-domain, can heal them.
