Great for quickly rebuilding character decks!

5/5

One of the biggest time sucks from PACG for my group was rebuilding our character decks between scenarios. We use the sleeves solely on our character's cards now so we instantly have them built if we don't find any treasure to swap out. Now we have more time for adventuring. Just a suggestion if you are looking to speed up your setup time.

I guess I really don't understand the difference between the clear sleeves, and the PACG sleeves (art printed on the back).

Is it basically just to have different kind of art on the back of the card, as the normal cards already have an art backing, and would be seen with the clear sleeves.

Any idea when the display case will be available for purchase? Also, can shipping on these be combined with our normal adventure card game subscription? Or will I be charged a completely separate shipping charge like when I tried to have an RPG book and my card game subscription shipped to me at the same time?

Not sure what's up with the display... but it's the same price as the number of packs it contains anyway.

As for combining with your sub, yes, you can do that with any item. During checkout, if you have a monthly sub, you'll be asked if you want to put it in your sidecart, which means it will go with your next sub shipment. That said, sometimes it's actually cheaper to ship things in multiple packages; when it is, our system will split it back out automatically.

Pretty much.

Picked up a couple of packs at my game store yesterday. The look great.
Only problem I have is the UltraPro dot is on the clear side and is in the way of some of the text. They should have put it on the back side, or in one of the lower corners.

Would someone be able to direct me to a picture of the sleeves because if the dot blocks out text, then I might reconsider getting them.

Why do they put dots on sleeves? It seems like an obviously bad idea to me, so I must be missing something.

It's a hold-over from Ultra-Pro's early Magic:The Gathering days. They have a high-quality, competition brand of sleeves, and they were worried about knock-offs, so the hologram dot was their answer to combating the problem. I have no insight into whether the dot interferes with Magic: The Gathering cards.

This is terribly disquieting. It seems like something that should have been caught when the product design for the sleeves was approved. I can only hope Paizo and Ultra-Pro didn't have any idea what the final Runelords game would look like when the contract was signed for the sleeves.

Bump. Any pictures of the sleeves yet?

So, it says the product is discontinued, but it appears it can still be ordered. Before I spend 50-some dollars, are these available or not?

That text automatically appears whenever our main distributor isn't carrying a particular product; in this case, we get them directly from Ultra•PRO. The statement that they ship from our warehouse in 1 to 7 business days is true.

Thanks, Vic!

Has anyone else had issues with the backs of these sleeves starting to peel after regular use? I sleeved all of my class, decks in these, and after a full run through of season of the shackles, most of the cards in my deck had sleeves with the back (the part with the picture) peeling off. It sucks because I have a ton of these, but I'd rather not use them now.

Hi Rick

I just ordered the last of these, by the look. Any chance we're ever going to see them again?

I'd be particularly interested in grabbing a few displays if they existed anywhere.

I'm not sure how many people would actually do that.... but I can tell you that the complete set of RotR cards, including the 8 promos, is 1163 cards, of which 130 are double-sided and 1033 are single-sided. So a full sleeve kit would be:

1 Clear 100-pack
1 Clear 50-pack
21 PACG 50-packs (on this page)

Note that PACG subscribers get 20% off the PACG-branded packs, while the clear packs are our usual 10% off MSRP for subscribers and nonsubscribers alike.

Me, reading this post 7 years later finally finishing collecting the remaining cards, and wanting to protect them so they're not damaged later...

$5 for 600 is a good price, but 12, 50ct packs is an absolute menace. Who in their right mind only needs 50 sleeves at a time?

I get this seems to be "industry standard" but it's a dumb standard.
