Hybrid Classes, Parent Classes, and Multiclassing

Rules Questions

Quick question: I know that generally speaking, features of parent classes and hybrid classes do not stack should you multi-class between the two (i.e. Cleric 1/Warpriest 1). However, are the base saving throw bonuses considered class features (such that you take the better of the two) or do they stack (similar to BaB)? My gut reaction would be that they do not stack, but that's mainly because it seems like a bit of a cheesy way to boosts some of your saving throws.

Base saves stack. If you want to dip a class purely for the saves, go for it.

Those stack no problem. It's more in reference to abilities related between the normal class and hybrid class - like Rogue + Investigator.

"Parent Classes: Each one of the following classes lists two
classes that it draws upon to form the basis of its theme.
While a character can multiclass with these parent classes,
this usually results in redundant abilities. Such abilities
don’t stack unless specified. If a class feature allows the
character to make a one-time choice (such as a bloodline),
that choice must match similar choices made by the parent
classes and vice-versa (such as selecting the same bloodline)."

Cool, thanks for the clarification. While I wouldn't ever multiclass solely for the Base Save bonus, I was still curious as to how it would be handled.
