ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!!
Thanks for a new set.
Lots of cool new monsters to add to the collection of minis.
(I won't be assembling these until summer unfortnately, but when I do, I'll post more pix.)
Keep up the great work!
Thanks! If you feel like posting a review, I'd appreciate it! :)

I got mine printed out last night, and Black Magga looks to be huge sized (3x3) on the sheet instead of gargantuan (20x20).
Was this an oversight? Artistic choice to fit the page? Should I have had the lady 'fit to page' when she printed it?
Just wondering so I can make sure to correct it if it is something on my end. Not a complaint against the awesomeness of the product, just curious.

Here are some pictures of the minis from this set being used in actual play. This is from the Skull's Crossing set piece from HMM.
You'll notice that there's one paper mini on the board that's not from this set. One of my players liked these so much that she used Photoshop to make her own paper mini for her character!

Awesome! Thanks for sharing, Tamago! I love seeing pics of the minis in action.

Here are some from our session:
Mama, Sugar, Jeppo, and Hograth get the drop on the party right outside the farmhouse...
And the battle w/ Biggin (and rescuing the Black Arrows) in the barn:
You can see the mix of PPM minis and my own. I had made these before CJ had released the 3rd installment. I actually got fairly proficient in putting these together using Visio and Google Image Search. I was happy with the way Mama and Biggin had come out. However, the art is what brings these to the next level, and having those custom characters for Graul brothers really made the fight memorable.
Shalelu recently graduated from extracted-image-paper-mini to painted metal since she'll be tagging along for the next couple sessions. I may do the same for the Black Arrows if there's time before the assault on Fort Rannick.
I'm looking forward to unleashing the PPM's for Hookmaw, Dorella, and Jaagrath on the party in the next session...
Cheers!

Whew! I almost missed these, I was on vacation most of the week!
Thanks tburke0, I'm glad the Graul minis are helping out. I look forward to seeing some more. Unleash the Kreegs!

A couple more pics. These show a mix of minis from this set and the Monster Set 3: Ogres being used for the battle inside hook Mountain itself.
You can see that the size of the minis is just right. It's so nice to have appropriately sized minis for the various monsters! Though I must admit that they don't work as well on a hex grid as they do with squares. Not that this is a problem with the paper minis; I think any mini would have that problem!

Awesome! That's a crazy amount of Ogres running around in those shots. Thanks for sharing!

No worries there.
Here is an image I took this weekend during gaming. I had almost forgot once again to get a picture during the game. I had taken a couple of shots, but this is the only one that came out clear (the others were blurry).
Wow, Muck Graul is towering over the PCs, that's fantastic! Thanks for the pic.
What did you do for your PCs? They look like someone made their own minis.

The PCs, one is hand-drawn, scanned in, and colored in Gimp, two are images pilfered from various free paper minis (modified to work with the Pathfinder Paper Mini instructions), and the fourth is an image from some online dollmaker site.
Years ago we used postcard disks with either images on them or just the character's name. Then along came N'Wah's goblin set, and everything changed after that. So far I've purchased every Pathfinder Paper Mini set that has been released and have made a multitude of additional paper minis. If I ever get around to setting them all up, I'll take a picture and post it for you.

I would appreciate that! Thank you very much. I'm dying to see the Rune Giants!
Also, the set has been updated. :)

I'm currently finishing the Graul farms with my players, and i was just checking my minis.
I'm missing the following minis:
2 ogres for B10
Malugus Kreeg C6
1 pitfiend C16 (I've read over this section 3-4 times, and I'm pretty sure they're two living pitfiends, but one is down to one HD)
I also have an extra Rat Familiar. Not sure where tickles fits in.
It's not a huge problem, but just one that I noticed.
Callous Jack |
Hi IamJLovegren,
-Thanks for your interest! I don't have access to the book so I'll have to look up Malugus and the other ogres but my guess is that you could use the generic Ogre warriors to cover them.
-There were two Pit Fiends but I think one died and the other is on the verge of death.
-As for Tickles, I think he was Dorella's familiar?
I'll try to look later to check this out. I hope you like the sets otherwise!
Liz Courts Contributor |
Hey IamJLovegren, I've got a few answers for you!
- Yes, there should be two extra ogres. D'oh.
- Malugus Kreeg is missing in action. Someone should go see if he's taking a nap somewhere...
- Per page 45, Spoiler:So, only one fiend."one of the two pit fiends died, its body crumbled to crimson ash." Hence why Skull's Crossing is falling apart.
- Tickles is Dorella's familiar.
