I know that it costs more to enchant both ends of a double weapon, but it doesn't differentiate double weapons under the Magic Weapon spell. As it is listed as one weapon under the equipment section, does the magic weapon spell grant its bonus to both ends of a couble weapon?

Where does it say that? A double weapon isn't considered two weapons for sundering, so its not a catch all to say that it should always be considered as two weapons.
I think your probably right, but if it spells out that the spell affects ammunition differently that a weapon, it should also have some better definition of the spells effect for a double weapon...
