I have a question about humans, if i pick HALF-ORC Human ancestry do i still get to pick one of the half-orc ancestry feats. I guess the question i am asking do humans get an extra ancestry feat at first level.

I am using a 23 point build, i don't need con as I am undead. I am a custom build race, undead racial, extra feat, skilled, flexible stats.

This comes to:

  • Undead (16 RP)
  • Flexible (2 RP)
  • Flexible Bonus Feat (4 RP)
  • Skilled (4 RP)
  • Fly 70ft (Perfect) (14RP)

For a total of 40 RP.

I am thinking a charisma build as i need the charisma for hit points so I was thinking mysterious stranger.

My stats i was thing of going with for mysterious stranger
Str: 7
Dex: 16 + 2
Con: --
Int: 12
Wis: 14
Cha: 16 + 2

For a generic gunslinger
Str: 7
Dex: 16 + 2
Con: --
Int: 12
Wis: 16 + 2
Cha: 12

I am not sure what feats and when to take them, and if i should go mysterious stranger or not, to optimize my character. My gm is the one who recommended flight to me for my character, and there is a good chance i will be raised when the chance arises, my character was killed and raised by a necromancer but i wasn't the mindless undead he wanted i was a sentient undead, who ran off on him.

This game will be played in a Sky's of Arcadia type world, floating islands, traversed by flying creatures and flying machines, best guns are flint lock types of guns no advances or technology guns.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have a DM who allowed me to take the shadow creature template as a rogue who's race was dvati from the dragon compendium. At first he allowed the ability shadow blend work the way it is supposed to, then he would have the dungeon which was filled with illithids and drow, he had the place filled with daylight torches. Then when I attacked a guard whome I knew was in league with doppelganger who have infiltrated this city, this person was standing by a fire at night, he said I could not shadow dlend as the fire would not let it. This fire was nothing more that non magical bone fires.

He said after I brought up about the shadow blend ability should work, said he made a mistake letting me take the shadow creature template, so he with out telling me made the ability basically useless.

Then the next session I was 8th level and was traded in a cell and because I had 8 hit dice I took plane shift. So he killed my character because I escape the cells my character was in, the plane shift shifted me to the plane of shadow.

Instead of asking me to make a new character or taking me aside and asking me to remake my character with out the template. All he said was the ability was to Powerful and when I found was of getting out of the cells I was in he got angry and just killed my character.

How should I deal with this DM besides not playing.

He also allows the other players to do things they should not be able to do, like have 4 racial hit dice and 8 class levels and an ECL of +2 saying they are only 10th level jot 14th.

Any advice on how to deal with him.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

This monk class uses the dimensional agility line of feats and he is a psionic class instead of a martial training class.

If you could take a look and tell me what you think. I will set a link to my drop box for you guys to look at. Any advice would be appreciated.

Unbound monk

I am a Goliath Fighter level 1 with 2 flaws for 4 feats at first level. I am looking to build my character to get maximum benefit for tripping and max reach. I know of he feats from the Lords of Madness book, aberrant blood and inhuman reach feats to get me to a base of 10ft of reach for a total of 20ft with spiked chain.

My stats are 22 strength, 16 dexterity, 20 con, 14 intelligence, 17 wisdom, 13 charisma.

I am going to be using a large spiked chain for 2d6+9 damage, i know that makes it automatic for the feat knock down.

My main question is besides help with feats and items for max trip benefit, but i am looking to get a longer reach with the possibility of me being no larger then actually large size.

Are there any items that give me a similar ability of power build but make me count as larger then large, titan build or the like. I came up with the name of titan build with out even knowing if it exists.

if you are listing feats or item please if you can list the books they are in. Templates are not allowed at first level, but i might be able to go through the transmogrification ritual to add them at a later time.

Any help would be appreciated.

Does

Towering Ego (Su):
At 2nd level, a mesmerist gains a bonus equal to his Charisma bonus (minimum 0) on Will saving throws. If the mesmerist is under any effect that would prevent him from providing the emotional component of psychic spells, he loses this bonus on saving throws.
give me my charisma bonus against
Demoralize:
You can use this skill to cause an opponent to become shaken for a number of rounds. The DC of this check is equal to 10 + the target's Hit Dice + the target's Wisdom modifier. If you are successful, the target is shaken for 1 round. This duration increases by 1 round for every 5 by which you beat the DC. You can only threaten an opponent in this way if they are within 30 feet and can clearly see and hear you. Using demoralize on the same creature only extends the duration; it does not create a stronger fear condition.

My DM argued that because Demoralize does not state charisma in this calculation that i would not get the bonus.

There is a post in the Occult FAQ that asks the question about Emotion Components: Does the shaken condition from effects like Intimidate count as “an effect with the fear descriptor” for the purpose of blocking spells with emotion components?
Yes, they do. It should say “fear effect,” and for most descriptors, these wordings are sometimes used interchangeably. For instance, an ability that protects you from effects with the charm descriptor would generally protect you from a harpy’s song (which is a charm effect).

Based on that question and answer would you say that the bonus from towering ego should add to the DC for demoralize.

I am playing a lot of good unchained monk my next ability that I want to take is ki leech, ki leach the qinggong monk power refers to the spell of the same name, which is an evil necromancy spell.

My question is that normally a character who is good can't cast evil spells, but this being a monk power, does the ability still interact with my alignment the same way the spell does.

KI LEECH:

School necromancy [evil]; Level cleric 3, sorcerer/wizard 3, witch 3
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S
Range personal
Target you
Duration 1 minute/level (D)
You place your spirit in a receptive state so when you confirm a critical hit against a living enemy or reduce a living enemy to 0 or fewer hit points, you can steal some of that creature's ki. This replenishes 1 point of ki as long as you have at least 1 ki point in your ki pool. This does not allow you to exceed your ki pool's maximum. This ability does not stack with similar abilities (such as the steal ki ability of the hungry ghost monk).

This spell has no effect if you do not have a ki pool.

How do intuitive attack and dragons ferocity work in conjunction, if they wonk in conjunction that is.

All vanaras have long, prehensile tails and hand-like feet capable of well-articulated movements.

You need both hands free to climb, but you may cling to a wall with one hand while you cast a spell or take some other action that requires only one hand.

My question is do Vanara count as having 4 hands when it comes to climbing. if so and I'm attacking someone while climbing could i use a 2 handed weapon to attack them.

Also if there is a rules person looking could they please put an FAQ in about different movement speeds and how they interact with charge.

Ascetic Style (Combat, Style):

You blend arms and martial arts, using weapons with the same ease as unarmed strikes.

Prerequisites: Weapon Focus with the chosen melee weapon; base attack bonus +1 or monk level 1st.

Benefit: Choose one weapon from the monk fighter weapon group. While using this style and wielding the chosen weapon, you can apply the effects of feats that have Improved Unarmed Strike as a prerequisite, as well as effects that augment an unarmed strike, as if attacks with the weapon were unarmed attacks.

Special: A 5th-level monk or character with the weapon training (monk) class feature can use Ascetic Style with any monk weapon, in addition to the chosen melee weapon.

Pummeling Style (Combat, Style):

Your unarmed strikes weave together in an effortless combo, focusing on the spots you've weakened with the last hit.

Prerequisites: Improved Unarmed Strike; base attack bonus +6, brawler's flurry class feature, or flurry of blows class feature.

Benefit: Whenever you use a full-attack action or flurry of blows to make multiple attacks against a single opponent with unarmed strikes, total the damage from all hits before applying damage reduction. This ability works only with unarmed strikes, no matter what other abilities you might possess.

My question is Ascetic Style says i can you can apply the effects of feats that have Improved Unarmed Strike as a prerequisite, as well as effects that augment an unarmed strike, and pummeling style has Improved Unarmed Strike as a prerequisite, does this mean that i can use pummeling style with Ascetic Style Even though style feats say if i use another style feat it turns off the other style feat.

I know this is a re post of a post i made earlier this morning but i put the post in the wrong forum

I am creating a a set of feats to use with flurry of blows or brawlers flurry, the first feat is called

Monastic Training::

You make advantage of your monastic Training and Weapon training to allow you to fuse them together.

Prerequisites: Improved Unarmed Strike, Flurry of blow or Brawlers Flurry Weapon Focus, Weapon Proficiency in weapon of choice

Benefit: This feat allows you to use the Weapon Chosen with Flurry of blows or brawlers furry, you can interpose this weapon as part of your flurry.

The Second feat is called

Improved Monastic Training::

You make further advantage of your monastic Training and Weapon training to allow you to use them with the monks Style strikes or the brawlers Close Weapon Mastery.

Prerequisites: Monastic Training

Benefit: This feat allows a monk to use the chosen weapon with any style strike they know, and brawlers can count this weapon as part of the close weapon mastery list.

I was wondering if these feats are balanced.

I ask this as i have the artifact weapon Agrimmosh and i want to make full use of it.

Please any input on these feats would be awesome

I have a second question as well Ki Leach Qinggong Monk power would that make my character more evil as the spell it is based upon is necromancy [evil]. My Unchained Monk who is the Vanara race is LN. I look at the power as a Neutral person would look at the reclaiming of life force is no different then a body becoming food for the creatures of he land which in turn becomes fertilizer for the land. So the life force will eb reclaimed either way.

Do you guys think that a character following Pharasma, that she would allow him to be a Medium class from the Occultist Adventure book, or should i pick a different god.

I am running a Drow rogue in the giantslayer adventure, i took the trait that makes me a member of t he town so i don't have to worry about the town members wanting to kill me on sight, i also get a masterwork dagger as well with the trait.

My question is, i know that Drow as most of the time universally hated by most other races, so i was thinking about building my rogue to be more disguise orientated, but i don't see a lot of feats that would help me with that skill besides skill focus. I am looking for advice on what rogue/ninja talents i could take as well as what feats i should be looking into.

My stats are as follows Strength 12, Dexterity 16, Constitution 12, Intellect 14, wisdom 11, Charisma 16, this is all after racial stats, and i took the Surface Infiltrator racial trait, i give up darkvision and light blindness, for low light., my first feat was agile maneuvers. we are only level 1 but i am not sure where to go with my concept when i cant find a lot in the class or feats to help me with my concept of someone who because of the hate that other races have towards Drow he will be using disguise a lot to try and blend in.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What do you guys think about the Automatic Bonus Progression from the Unchained Book.

I have looked at it for the Unchained monk at level 16 his AC is 48, fort is 21, ref is 23, will is 23 to hit is +28 using slashing grace and tiger style, Str is 16, dex is 26, con is 22, int is 22, Wis is 36, cha is 18, using the stat array of 18, 18, 16, 16, 12, 14. There are only 3 of us in the group so that is why our starting stats are so high. The dc for any of my ki powers at this level is 31 and i have 21 ki.

This is all with no gear besides a few masterwork items but no magic items at all.

Would a monk with tiger style be able to qualify for slashing grace, if he takes all the other prerequisite feats.

I am building a tiny outsider(native) race which has +2 dex, +2 cha costing 2 racial points(it is the flexible ability modifiers), Fly speed 60 ft good costing 10 racial points, 30 ft movement costing 0 racial points, outsider(native) 3 racial points, Tiny size costing 4 racial points, for a total of 19 racial points.

As it stands right now the race because of size would have a -2 strength, +4 dexterity, and +2 charisma. +2 to hit, -2 cmb, +2 armor class, no reach. 60 ft darkvision for being an outsider, fly speed 60ft good, movement of 30ft.

I am looking for input for the race for things i could do with it to make it more rounded.

I was wondering using the rule in the blood of angel book would a halfling who has the assimar racial traits, would they count as small and get all the other halfling racial traits including the 30 ft movement speed. Its the rule in the sidebar on non human assimar.

I'm building a Kathasa sa brawler but I'm not sure of what the build will be. Its stats will be sorry the array of stats I will be using will be 18, 18, 16, 16, 14, 12. this is for the iron gods Adventure Path. I have another question as well would I need to pick up Multi weapon fighting or does a kathasa automatically replace 2 weapon fighting with it.

I don't know if I'm going to go with the base brawler or one of the archetypes. If I do go with one of the archetypes which one should I go with. Any help with feats, racial traits would be a great help

I was thinking about creating a hybrid class combining the evolutions of summoner with fighter. He/she could evolve their selves as a summon can evolve their edilons. They would not get any spells at all, no edilon not as many feats as a fighter maybe 6 over the 20 levels they will have good fort and will and be a full progression class. Can I get some input please.

I was wondering how much it would cost to get a chainsaw permanently enchanted with the silence spell as I want to be a slayer dual welding them.

If I have levels in both gun slinger and swashbuckler would they stack for the level requirement for

signature deed:
Prerequisite: Grit class feature, gunslinger level 11th.

Benefit: Pick a deed that you have access to and that you must spend grit to perform. You can perform this deed for 1 fewer grit point (minimum 0). If the amount of grit needed to perform the deed is reduced to 0, you can perform this deed for the normal action cost as long as you have at least 1 grit point.

As the ACG stats grit and panache can be interchanged would they stack class levels for requirements.

Could a Chakram be modified to have a handle in the middle like zena's from zena warrior princess's Chakram was. If so would it be considered a martial weapon or exotic weapon.

Would the slashing grace feat from the advanced class guide, work with the

MONOWHIP:

Price 70,000 gp; Type light melee; Proficiency exotic (whip); Dmg (M) 2d6 slash.; Dmg (S) 1d10 slash.;Critical 18-20/×3; Capacity 10; Usage 1 charge/round; Special performance, reach, touch; Weight 1 lb.

A monowhip is a deadly melee weapon capable of inflicting horrible wounds, even in the hands of the weak. An inactive monowhip looks like a short metal baton, but when it's activated, a small weight detaches, revealing a 15-foot-long monofilament length. Wielded like a whip, a monowhip slices deeply into targets and can inflict grievous critical hits with shocking ease. Attacks made with a monowhip resolve as touch attacks, and they ignore hardness as if the monofilament were made of adamantine. A monowhip's damage cannot be enhanced by strength, as the monofilament slices with equal ease regardless of the force applied. Activating a monowhip is a move action; once activated, the whip consumes power incredibly quickly, at the rate of 1 charge per round.

I am trying to build a whip master swashbuckler. Also would I get the dex to damage on the monowhip from slashing grace.

Would I be wrong in saying that extra lay of hands would increase the number of times I could use fervor, or would I have to convince my dm to let me create a feat to give me extra uses of the ability.

If I want to have extra uses of fervor, but there is no feat for extra fervor. Would it be ok to say that extra lay on hands would work for it, or would I have to convince my dm to allow me to create an exta fervor feat.

I am curious if anybody could tell me how Numerian Tech covers magic properties and tech properties, like how would a +2 Numerian scimitar or speed react to anti magic fields and dead magic zones. Also are they more expensive to get.

I need help with a character concept for a war priest of Cayden Cailean.

The war priest will have weapon focus in Rapier his gods favored weapon as well as im thinking about Strength as his blessing.

My race will be archon blooded aasimar, ill drop the continual flame spell like for a +2 strength using the variant rules in the blood of angels, which will give him +2 strength, +2 con, and +2 wisdom.

His stats will be 18, 18, 16, 16, 14, 12, that's what the dm gave us before racial bonuses. and the bonus feets for this class i will be taking the weapon spec line of feets and will be retraining to get greater weapon focus at 6th level, like retraining says you can as long as the feat you are retraining is not a pre req feet.

Beyond those feets and the stats im not sure where to go with the character, we are on book 3 of the orison adventure path and are level 8.

Any help would be appreciated.

I am wondering if there are any pathfinder feats or class abilities that will allow a person to replace dex, con, and or wisdom with charisma. I am a 7th level oath or charity Hospitaler Paladin of serinrai. I know my spelling sucks.

I was thinking about modifying Lay on hands and channel energy to instead of giving you 1d6 every 2 levels you can heal a number of times per day equal to your charisma modifier + half your level to a pool of dice equaling 1d6 per 2 levels times your charisma + half your level. So a character at level 2 who is a pally with an 18 charisma would have a poll of 5d6 of dice to use instead of 1d6 5 times a day, same goes for a cleric channeling.

Can cleave and vital strike be used together.

I have a level 5 sorc/ level 5 dragon disciple/Mythic Teir 3 Champion/Archmage paths. He is going to be more focused around transmutation spells to buff himself. his stats are as follows

Aasimar Angel blooded who droped his spell like ability for an extra +2 Cha.

Str: 26
Dex: 20
Con: 16
Int: 20
Wis: 18
Cha: 28

I'm looking for some input for feats, path abilities and spells. I have take the dual path feat to get access to both champion and archmage.

In the Core Rule Book it says Reroll if you get a duplicate special ability, but in the Ultimate Equipment it doesn't say anything of the sort in the magic weapon section of the book, which take precedent.

Multiweapon Fighting (Combat)

This multi-armed creature is skilled at making attacks
with multiple weapons.

Prerequisites: Dex 13 , three or more hands.
Benefit: Penalties for fighting with multiple weapons are
reduced by -2 with the primary hand and by -6 with off-hands.

Normal: A creature without this feat takes a -6 penalty
on attacks made with its primary hand and a -10 penalty on
attacks made with all of its off hands. (It has one primary
hand, and all the others are off hands.) See Two-Weapon
Fighting in the Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook.

Special: This feat replaces the Two -Weapon Fighting
feat for creatures with more than two arms.

My question is if i have a multi-armed person say the Kasatha with this feat and then i decided i want to get improved two weapon fighting and greater two weapon fighting feats will the improved and greater two weapon fighting feats stack with multiattack fighting for the extra two attacks.

Would a 2 weapon fighter Kasatha at 20th level with 4 speed weapons have multiattack fighting, improved two weapon fighting and greater two weapon fighting have 13 attacks with no penalty other then the normal penalties for making more then 1 attack per round.

so it would be in a mythic campaign with finesse and mythic finesse and with a finesse weapon and a 38 dex +45/+45/+45/+43/+43/+43/+40/+40/+40/+35/+35/+35/+30.

Upgradable: This ability grants the bonded creature the ability to more easily increase the non-mythic magical power of the legendary item. If the base magic item has a version with a higher bonus or greater version (such as a +1 longsword, a +2 light steel shield, a cloak of protection +3, an amulet of might fists +4, or a minor ring of inner fortitude), the bonded creature can improve it by performing a special ritual. She must spend a number of gold pieces equal to half the difference between the cost of the legendary item's current, non-mythic base item and the greater version she wishes to upgrade the item into. For example, she would pay 3,000 gp to upgrade a +1 longsword into a +2 longsword.

This ritual takes 8 hours. When it's completed, the bonded creature transmutes the item's base version into the desired version. When upgraded in this fashion, the legendary item retains all legendary item abilities it had before the transmutation.

Would this ability have to be used on a day when no adventuring is done like normal crafting or could this be done on the 8 hours of downtime on every day you have when adventuring.

My gm is making like normal crafting for the restriction for how much time you get out of a day for crafting when adventuring, and i think because he has a item crafter he thinks an ability should not be able to do more then what a group of feats allows someone to do. In other words i think he is penalizing me because I am getting around the need for great amounts of time needed to craft that his guy needs.

I want to have a set of boots crafted for me using Mythic haste spell to give all my movement speeds by 50 based on the rules for crafting the item would cost 4 x (3 x 5 x 2000) for a grand total of 120000, 60000 for it if the person in my group does it for crafting cost not selling cost.

My question is is it possible to put use a mythic spell for item crafting an item that's not really doing anything mythic other then +50 speed bonus.
