Howdy, it's been a while. Looking back at this, My last posts where nearly 2-3 years ago, and alot has happened in my life since then. But I'm back, and I am sick of playing 5e-
1) A PF1e game- any game, I will post a list of Modules or Adventure paths and see what folks would like to do 2) A Final Fantasy D20 game- Based in a Homebrew FF world- I will explain more about it 3) A Starfinder Game in a Homebrew setting- also will explain more about it based on what folks want out of that I may or may not run a game I would Prefer to play games over Discord/Roll20 using voice- it is just a personal preference I have gained over the last 5 months.
Dot for interest, I'll put up my rolls before deciding my class/race: Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 6, 5) = 19: 16 Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 6, 6) = 15:reroll: 1d6 ⇒ 3 15 Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 2, 5) = 16: 12 Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 5, 2) = 14: 15 Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 3, 4) = 16: 12 Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 3, 6) = 21: 16 So: 12,12,15,15,16,16 This opens alot for me, I may actually make a Halfling monk with this- just for fun of course ;P
Dot for interest... Thinking... THINKING... probably do something like an Undine. Yes I know a swimspeed inbthe sky is useless, no I don't want to swim.... Now I do have a Question, how do you feel about Tieflings and Aasimar? Do they exist in your world or is ir just those you've listed.
Additionally I was thinking id suggest Vanara, as they seem like they'd fit the setting pretty well, being an inhabitant of one of the islands.
Dot for interest, Thinking I may make a good old fashioned monk... Unchained of course, although I may want to apply a Chained Archetype to it, Just givee a minute ;P Gonna go for Lawful Neutral.
I'll look at the AP Guide and see what I want to do, This may alter my idea so everything I've said so far isnt set in stone. I think I'll settle on a Elemental Ascetic of air...
Dot for interest, If Gnoll is in fir consideration I may apply as a Pyromancer of some kind, kinetisist or sorcerer probably, However I may also want to play a Brawler, but i definitely don't want to be the groups face. I have one game where I basically am, and honestly I don't want to be the one responsible for telling thr others what to do :P As for my character, if I'm making a Gnoll I'll want to do a character based around honor and pride... Mostly pride, and with a sense of honor that excludes hiding daggers in boots and shivs between fingers. basically I want a character who on the surface appears to be a respectable person, but earned their position by stabbing people in the back, literally. Alternatively I may want to make a real honorable character, but that's unlikely
Dot for interest, Thinking.... Hmmm... Would you allow for multiple Archetypes, so long as they don't overlap each other in some way?
My idea mainly is for a Bladebound Kensai. Otherwise I was thinking of trying a shifter out. Probably a lycantouched of the stag aspect...
I did consider rhe dragon herald, but I want d a concept that I could stick intk Almost any race. If I do not get to do something like a Kobold then my next race would be half-elf or just full elf.
But I also have a few backup concepts in the case that having a somewhat negotiably evil Character is out the window. One such concept would be a Grand General cavalier dedicated tk the protection of the throne, likely having pledged himself to one of the other players, the one he believes is the rightful king. Another concept would be the secretive court alchemist, dedicated to his own work, and using his large budget and endelss supply of subjects to his advantage. And last is my divine type, a prodegy of Cayden. Likely an Inquisitor or something not restricted as a Palidan, after all what use is worshiping a god of ale if you can't drink some?
I was thinking of Kobold In the hopes I could be from thw Kobold tribe in the first module, which doesn't nessisarily need to be erraticated, as the Kobolds are actually all pretty nice... For Kobolds. I could be an ambassador, or possibly just a gift they decided to get rid of. I was planning Bard with either the Court fool archetype or the Court Bard archetype,
@GM: Okay, I may apply a Serial Killer Vigilante, But I wanted to ask if you allow multiple Archetypes so long as they don't overlap first, As this may make me reconsider and make a different character, (a black blade Kensai Magus, who's sword is possessed by the soul of a Daemon, or Oni as I may have it be a Katana.)
Im gonna leave this here for interest. If I'm gonna do something I'm thinking of doing a serial killer Vigilate. That way my normal social identity can be good, or Neutral... And my killer identity will be brutally and sickeningly evil. Someone who stalks their prey during the day, only to splatter their guts across the ally walls at night.
Dot for interest, although unsure I wanna do something like this. I'm one of those players who does quirky things with their characters, either always playing an oddball or something similar. Unfortunately this game seems like it requires the be kinda Gerneric then evolve into a quirky character. This gives me great interest, but I tend to dislike the core races and classes unmodified. I just can't come up with a good concept for someone as normal as the person two doors down.

Well, seems on our end, although we don't nessisarily agree with the demon lord, most of us are fine with doing his bidding. For now, heh heh.
I do think it would be quite the display if our tables meet, near the end of course, after all it is a full story and we gotta make sure we do this right. Luckily it looks like you guys avoided the dragon while we... Well let's just say we are having a less than calm conversation with it.
Dot, thinking of Playing something lycanthopic(or at least inspired by) Possibly dark druid or something similar.
If anything I'm definitely going to play a druid(neutral evil of course), who wishes to embrace the dark and vicious side of nature. It's eat, or be eaten
Okay, so here's my idea:
Leading up to that point though she will mostly be mind thrusts and killing spells.
Honestly the days of Thac0 where times when you could die by tripping on your sword. I've never really been into the brutally hard nature of the earliest editions of D&D. after all the easiest way to beat anything was have the theif scout out enemies then have your wizard blast them. I'd be willing to play an old school game with the brutal difficulty though. I just find the over-complex rules lacking in depth. If perhaps you ran it using a newer system, or Pathfinder(I have a distaste for the oversimplified 5e) then I'd love to join Otherwise I'm just dotting for intrest and likely won't put anything forward.

DM Chill-iax wrote: Thoughts, Nightmoon? Sorry for the delay, Haha, but to answer this: This group seems like the more... Ah... Outgoing and nice types. Where the other group is the dark brooding types. If ever our tables meet, I'm more than sure the chemistry will be more than reactive, heheh...

Hmm... Well with two stat blocks that sloped I'm gonna have to pick something that won't have to have it's stats all over the place. Thinking I might capitalize on an idea I've had for a while! For the lvl 18 im debating But for the lvl 1 I have had the idea for a ratfolk brawler, with the strangler archetype. Built around being a maniac in battle, attacking foes indiscriminately and with fury. Likely I'll make them an ugly brute who probably won't do well outside of combat other than to pick things up or break things. Now for the lvl 18... I'm actually thinking of doing a Sacred Attendant Cleric of Calistra. I'm probably gonna make her an Elf and she'll focus on buffing spells and healing. With a few good offensive spells of course ;)
If I play a Sahuagin I'd like to try the Sightless Varient. Found near the bottom of this page And would likely play either a shaman or spell-caster of some kind. However a fighter seems like a good idea as well :P
So, I would offer to play a Sahuagin, however Paizo recently added them as A Playable race even if they technically are Uber Powerful despite this.
They didn't however add any of the mutant Sahuagin variants.
Dot for interest, I've wanted to play saga edition for a while, but never seem to get accepted into any games, I'll lay down my interest here, but I'd like to try and shoot for something skilled if I can. I'd also like to play as a Droid, possibly a decommissioned/repurposed battle droid. Although I may also shoot for a construction droid that has been rigged up during the war to help fight. Although a Reprogrammed Imperial Protocol Droid sounds like fun...
Dot, this is Verik(you know... VERIK!) putting in interest for this game. Since you are allowing alien archive I'm gonna have a look and try to figure out what I want, but most likely I'll be a tecnomancer or an operative. Although I do like the mechanic quite a but ^-^ so just hold off until I decide on something. Ah! I know, Space drow. I'll be a space Drow Mechanic |
