I just want to be present in the room when she asks.

Well, seems on our end, although we don't nessisarily agree with the demon lord, most of us are fine with doing his bidding.
For now, heh heh.
Several of us have Actually hinted that we'll follow along, but likely won't hold up on our end. This of course is bound to make the demon lord angry, but hey! It's just business.
I do think it would be quite the display if our tables meet, near the end of course, after all it is a full story and we gotta make sure we do this right.
Luckily it looks like you guys avoided the dragon while we... Well let's just say we are having a less than calm conversation with it.

Hylota |

Hylota probably wouldn't work for the demon lord - what with being a Winter Witch and all. Still, if whimsy took her, she might indulge him for a while.
As for the dragon, we gave her a nice gift, and she let us pass. Did she not like your gift? Or do you not want to give her a gift?

Javell DeLeon |

Don't suppose any of you folks would be interested in taking over a Runelords game would you? We're in Book 5. If I were to wager a guess I'd say close to halfway through or thereabouts.
Absolutely no worries if not though. I do understand that GM'ing a game is a HUGE commitment so it's all good. Just figured I'd throw it out there just in case because you never know.
Edit: I've never asked anyone EVER if they might be interested in picking up a game as a GM before, so, if this is improper etiquette and/or offensive, please forgive me, Chill. I promise that was not my intention. So please just disregard if that is the case.

Hylota |

Sorry, I don't have the time to GM another game - otherwise I would.

Javell DeLeon |

You got it. This is it: Sins of the Saviors
And just as an fyi: The GM started a new thread every time we made it to the next book. Just in case you're wondering how we have, like, nearly 1000 posts and we're already in Book 5. :P

Javell DeLeon |

In a large chamber you see two frost giants sitting in the middle of the floor tossing dice, with a gnarled giant very similar to Narak leaning against the wall just to the left of the stairs.
I'm actually reading it as two frost giants playing dice AND another frost giant leaning up against the wall. It appears to me the one leaning against the wall is the gnarled one. Which would give us 3 giants.
Am I misreading something?

Lady Szasa |

Your family is wise. Twizzlers are delicious, and I always get some when going to watch a movie.

Lady Szasa |

I don't eat popcorn. It always gets stuck in my teeth and no amount of brushing will immediately remove it.

Javell DeLeon |

Your family is wise. Twizzlers are delicious, and I always get some when going to watch a movie.
Lol!
But popcorn is awesome! Especially with tons of butter. But we don't buy any because it costs like 1000 bucks and we always go get some lunch afterward(We always go to the earliest showing). Although we did get popcorn once because we got it for free(A birthday deal).
Speaking of donuts, today Krispy Kreme is offering buy 1 dozen donuts(regular or assorted, not really sure which; probably doesn't matter) and get a dozen hot glazed for free! Boo-yah! (Some kind of email deal that you have to print out). So guess where I went this morning? Oh yeah! :)
Before Szasa walks up, Hylota says, Ferric is an Abyss Gigas, by that description. He’ll resist your attacks unless your weapon is aligned with the forces of law. He is immune to electricity and resists other forms of magical energy, although he does not possess resistance to magic in general. He can plunge the room into darkness that even those possessed of good sight in the dark cannot see through. We should focus on disabling him and finishing him off quickly.”[/b]
Seriously? Law? Crud. Note to self: Next time remember taking a spell that adds alignment to weapons. Can't believe I didn't account for that.
I'm not so sure Vincent can even touch this dude in any form or fashion and hurt it. Gonna be interesting.

Lady Szasa |

The answer to dealing with DR is to hit things harder.

Hylota |

If mass hold monster doesn't get him, I'll start piling up the debuffs. Evil Eye for -6 to saves, followed by a quickened enervate to drop them even more. A Slumber Hex ought to drop him, then it's just a matter of applying the coup de grace.
If mass hold monster does get him, we just have to coup de grace him first.

Tazwell Bladenkurst |

I'll just drop the wolf and leave the big guy to someone else.
I'm feeling a remorse for talking our way past that dragon. It seems like the other table is having a lot of fun with it.

Celestia D'Jorasco |

I'm feeling a remorse for talking our way past that dragon. It seems like the other table is having a lot of fun with it.
Not anymore, It died after two rounds of it being confused I'm a dragon... Haha, and now I have Divine province to do whatever I want, IN CALISTRA'S NAME!!!
Obviously I've been hand far too much power, Muahahahahaha
And honestly if I was asked if I'd killed all who came before, I'd probably respond with a spell and a prompt, Yes ^-^

Javell DeLeon |

Okay, as much as I hate to(and to be honest, I would bring this up even if it was Vincent) point this out, but in this attack you made, Chill:
Attack 1: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (15) + 25 = 40
Damage: 4d6 + 19 ⇒ (1, 2, 4, 2) + 19 = 28
you said you missed? Now, I could EASILY have missed something somewhere. Combat expertise, some type of deed thing, I don't know could be a number of things. But barring something to that nature, it says Szasa's AC is 37.
Now odds are I've missed something somewhere. Because I often do. Like a whole stinking lot. And unfortunately I'm not joking. :P
I wished it would've been Vincent and I wouldn't feel so bad. But I just can't help it. My conscious gets the better of me. Hopefully I just missed some special ability(or spell) that Szasa has that has upped her AC and I can just move along quietly into the night.
PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong. I got no problem being wrong. Matter of fact, it's what I do best. :)

DM Chill-iax |

@Javell: I see what you mean. I meant that he did not succeed in knocking her off her feet and down the stairs. He still dealt damage. That was a miscommunication on my part, and I actually thank for pointing that out to me. :)
Besides, we ALL make mistakes. I've made my fair share, believe me. Hakuna Matata, you manly paladin!

Lady Szasa |

Besides, we ALL make mistakes. I've made my fair share, believe me. Hakuna Matata, youmanlyMangy paladin!
There, fixed that for ya ;D

Celestia D'Jorasco |

Hehe... charisma door...
Oof, that's gotta suck if there was a barbarian in thw group
Big, Dumb, and ugly cannot come in!

Hylota |

Wasn't so good for the Winter Witch, either. My rolls were mostly mediocre, and Charisma isn't the highest priority for me.

Celestia D'Jorasco |

Im sure Celestia won't have any issue. She's already dominated a man, annihilated a camp of frost giants, and convinced a god to spare her...
I'm more than sure I don't even have to make that check, I'll pass straight through the door as if it didn't even exist :P

Lady Szasa |

Look, like anything in life, all you have to be is awesome, and the universe rewards you.

Hylota |

GM, I need to ask a question. My Greater Healing Hex heals 35 damage on average. My regular Healing Hex heals 19 damage on average. That's 54 points of damage total, on average. Is that enough to destroy one of the statues, and if so, since it's an infinite resource I can use once per target per day each, can we just assume I do average damage to all the statutes, destroying each of them, until the negative energy stops arcing in the room? It'll be a lot quicker than rolling every single one of them out, and it's real easy to get PbPs bogged down by this kind of thing.

Lady Szasa |

Got it, marking 12 charges.

Hylota |

Now that posting problems are maybe done, I'm still here.

Javell DeLeon |

Still here. I've taken myself a vacation and have been out. Will be able to post normally again when I finally get back. Hopefully Thursday but probably Friday.
Would've let y'all know but as we all know the boards have been up and down and I left during this downtime and couldn't post.
Sorry for any hassle.

Hylota |

No worries - it's not like we've been able to post much.

Hylota |

I will be out of the country starting tomorrow evening. I will have my phone and access to Wi-Fi, but I don't know if I'll be able to post. Please bot me if necessary.

Javell DeLeon |

Hey, man, you just be safe and take care of what you need to. Don't even concern yourself with this, bud. We'll be ready to roll when you are, no prob.
Here's hoping and praying you, Carolina folk, and any others who might get hit by it come out of it safe and sound. These hurricanes ain't no joke. Houston can attest to that for sure.

Hylota |

Back from vacation.

Hylota |

I did. It was quite wonderful, and very relaxing.
Still a little jet lagged from time zone changes, though. Makes me kinda tired.
