Not all rooms have cards.
The 96 cards include:

20 weapon cards
42 failure cards (26x1, 12x2, 4x3)
20 room cards (1–8, 10–13, 15, 17–19, plus 4 unnumbered)

Thanks for the quick response. I've updated the BGG folks.

Hi Titanic folks,
I've played the game 4 or 5 times and hadn't noticed I was missing cards. A poster on BoardGameGeek made me check and sure enough I am missing cards too! Any thoughts on how to get the missing cards?
Cheers,
Van
fyi...

When there were 3 people playing that was the case with us as well, but when we added 2 more and the tokens got spread out about evenly is when we saw an issue arise. It worked itself out, it just took awhile. I appreciate you folks responding to questions.
Cheers,
David

Thanks for the feedback Lisa! I have to say, the new version is just great, the pieces and the board are top notch.

We ran quite a few demos of KDL at GenCon Socal and I can't say we ever ran into this type of quagmire. I can see how it might very rarely happen, but I think what you ran into is a abberrant game and not something you would likely see happen very often.

Now eventually one person did amass enough that the group could stop him but by then we had all started to lose interest. Just wondering if you'd run into this at all or if it was just a bit of a fluke. Despite running out of cards to prevent kills the spite tokens kept the game going on forever. I don't want to give the impression that I am complaining, I LOVE the game and I really like the addition of the spite tokens but with 5 players we just ran into a quagmire and wondering if that had come up at all for anyone else.

Vic Wertz wrote: Our current thought is that that next puzzle is probably going to be much, much harder than the second, and even a fair bit harder than the first. In fact, it might even need to be a collaborative effort for a lot of you.
Does that sound interesting?

Sure, I enjoyed the banter on the first puzzle's thread.
This one took me less time to figure out but more time to get around to working on. The post about the apostrophe being the starting point was spot on.

But most thanks to Titan Games for the puzzle...
I think. ;)

Glad it helped!

Thanks to some of the clues, and no thanks to others. ;)
Nice puzzle guys, but holy cow, how would people have known where to start without the first clue? I would seriously like to know that... I guess that pretty much is the puzzle though. At least that was the hurdle for me, using that first clue the way it's intended.
Good luck to everyone else working on it... it's probably easier than you think, if you're like me then you are probably over thinking it too.
I wondered the same thing... I had enough trouble *after* the first clue was posted. I've no idea how your supposed to solve it with out that key bit of info.

I finally figured it out with vandemonium's poem! :)
ok, i have the list of the colors, and i still have no idea whatsoever.
the only thing i'm sure of is that i feel like the recipient of a feeblemind spell.
messy Glad it helped someone! The only other clue I can think of to help those still struggling (I do feel for ya, I was there with you until late yesterday) is this. Since Mike S. was involved with D&D this question heralds back to the 80's red box that got me hooked on gaming. What was the name of the company that released that edition of D&D?
That with the poem should spell it out for ya ;o)
Mods - if this is too, too much of a clue feel free to snip :o) I'm not trying to give too much away, but I know how frustrated I was getting...

Dracorat wrote: And for the record, even with all these hints, I still got nothin. Number of stones - means nothing to me. Distance, spacing, relative position - all nothing. Ignore the number of stones but I *thought* 26 was important when I solved it...
Now that I know the solution, it is hard to come up with a clue that isn't too easy but for my fellows who have struggled with me since the equinox...
Go backwards from T and see what you see.
With roy g biv* order there shall be...
Cheers,

*spacing means nothing just poetic license :o)
Vic Wertz wrote: Travioli wrote: i got a total of 26 capstones other people got 30 and others got 28. How many are there? There are 30 capstones. That's not really important to the puzzle—only the ones you can see are of value to the solution.
-Vic.
.
Really? then I got the right answer for the wrong reasons... sorta, kinda. 30 including the trilithons? I guess you do just need to worry about the capstones you can see. Interesting...

Well, it's nothing to do with lunar cycles or clock time. The key word in regard to the colours is RED. As in the type of fish. Shame on some of the posters for your trickery! Language would make a difference to someone speaking, say, French who didn't also read English, but then again they wouldn't be reading this forum.

Honestly, I think these kinds of gimmicks cause more frustration than anticipation. I can't see it helping marketing at all.
PS: Feel free to edit my post if you think I'm giving away too much, I don't know how to put spoiler tags into this system. w00t! This put me over the edge! Muchos gracias!!
So yea, the number is not 30 and the number is not 28...and lo and behold "x" errr "t" marks the spot was closer than I thought...
ps. one of my friends who I badgered into helping me noted:
"I just saw the colors in your email and I don't see indigo or violet listed often ... and curiously, roygbiv is the order of the colors in the rainbow. I had a physics teacher beat that into me back in high school during some prism lessons."
Travioli wrote: i got a total of 26 capstones other people got 30 and others got 28. How many are there? I'm not sure, but in any case, none of those numbers jump out at me as the dead give away that others are saying. I'm not saying they aren't but I just am not seeing it...

Fantastic! Much appreciated.
Vic Wertz wrote: We've added a picture of the exclusive Doctor Lucky miniature you'll get if you preorder the game. Hi Vic,
I did pre-order the game, but it was after the published dead line, any chance you can still sneak one if for me? No biggie, but I thought I'd ask :o) Order # 670046

Mike Because "x" marks the spot was too easy?? LOL I'm working on it.. . Fun lead in to what sounds like a fun game Mike.
