Silver Crusade

Hello, my status of my order is still pending, and I just wished to check if the Orders for October 3 are in process.

Silver Crusade

Does any rules for the Twilight academy or the Cypher Lodge? My mage is currently at the Cypher Lodge and he learned Cypher Script and is going to learn Cypher Magic, but afterwards, he wants to go to the Twilight Academy for the chance to mingle with all different spell casters. I thought creating my own rules, homebrew, since this is my home game, but I want to make sure that rules follow the flavor of the game and the description that is provided in the Varisa players guide. I thought of transferring the rules for the Absalom Academy, but the way it is set up doesn't fit the idea of the Twilight Academy. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I have a quick question. I have found an interesting feat called a SpellGlyph which came out in Complete Arcane. I'm not sure how it works and I found it online. I don't own the book and the material that I place forth comes Complete Arcane:

"Spellglyph – you may create a special parchment which
you may use to substitute for the Verbal and Material
components of a spell. Each parchment is specific to
a particular spell, takes 1 hour to create, and
consumes inks that cost 25gp per spell level + the cost
of the Material component if more than 1 gp."

Does this mean that I can "re-scribe" a spell taking out the verbal and material components of the spell so that when I memorize it, I all have to do is create glyph-like gestures for the somatic component of the spell. Also does this have any effect for spell mastery in that now, if I mastered lets say grease, I don't have to worry about the verbal or material component or is that too much. I would love some clarification on this. Thank you.

As a wizard I love learning spell mastery to master spells without using my spellbook. Now I am intrigued in learning how to use word casting. My question is can I apply spell mastery to word casting. In other words, can I master a number of target and effect spells equal to my intelligence modifier. I would love the idea that my wizard can cast word spells with out the spellbook as well and it would be monster awesome if he could master both regular spells and word caster spells. Any help would be appreciated. :)

I have a quandary that hopefully someone can help me out with. In the "Advanced Players Guide" there is a feat in which you can change the element of a spell or make it half and half, which I love. Also, the req. for this feat is that you cast arcane spells, and that it uses a 1 spell slot higher which is good. Also you need to take more than once to apply a different element, for example a time for fire, another for ice, etc.
Now for the question at hand. I found in my "Forgotten Realms Magic of Fauren" and there it states a similar ability. The only difference is that it requires at least a metamagic feat and 5 ranks in knowledge(arcana)and it you don't use 1 spell slot higher which is awesome. I would like to get your perspective on this. This is a home game in which my wife and I are the only characters. Once in a while I will play with two other friends, so max with at least three people in a party.
My question what is the technical difference between the two, and would the feat from Forgotten Realms be overpowering or the fact that I'm in such a small party make up the difference between the two feats? Any constructive feedback would be great. :)

I have a general question to anyone who has bought or used a ronin arts product. I want to buy the bundle pack of 101 spell compenents, spell books and mundane equipment. I want to make sure that my 10 dollars is well spent because it is the only money I can spend on myself for a very good while. Are their products any good, is it of a good quality, does it have awesome flavor text and fun items to play with? Any info would be appreciative. Thanks. :)

Is it possible to retrive a magic scroll that contains four spells while holding a quaterstaff in one hand without droping or stowing the weapon away? I know the rules don't really cover this, but I just want to check this.

Silver Crusade

Just to verify, does it cost anything to create a cantrip scroll utilizing the formula because, they are 0 level and cantrips and the formula is 12.5 x spell level x caster level. I know that in the crafting section of the Players Handbook it says that all scrolls are created at least half of the base price. Plus can I make more than 1 scroll per day at the max of 1000gps? Please clear up both confusions.

Hola everyone again. Another quick question. Do you think it is a good idea to create a wizard whose build consists of crafting golems, staves, wonderous items, and magic arms and armor? Or is it better to only focus crafting all of that except crafting golems and use that feat for another metamagic or spell mastery. I would appreciate any thoughts on this. Thank you. :)

Silver Crusade

I know that combat casting helps a lot, but do anyone here think that it is a must for any caster, can a universal wizard survive without this? I would appreciate any thoughts on this.

Silver Crusade

Hola Everyone. I just have a quick question regarding magical staves creation. I know that a magic stave can have any spell imbued into it. And I know that you can store more than one spell into the staff. Also, I am aware that the wizard can recharge the staff. Awesome. The question I have is that is it possible to create a magical stave that has let say three spells, and has an enhancement bonus to attack and damage. Or can it have a fireburst property on it. I checked through item creation and there is nothing that in the text that goes with or against my idea. I do think I can, I just want to verify if it is possible. I would appreciate any help, thoughts and ideas. Thank you.
