3 people marked this as a favorite.

I brought my 5 year old daughter to Gen Con for the first time this year and she played two of the kids track sessions. I had to help her with the math, but she definitely got the concept. She was so excited to get a set of dice and figs. The kids track sessions are very worthwhile. The beginner's box is a great product and this is exactly what you need to develop the next generation of gamers!

Wow- that is amazing art! Personally, I like the Jack-O-Lantern touch. Sleepy Hollow will never be the same.

I miss many things about LG, but I really love PFS right now. I think the quality of the mods in PFS is OUTSTANDING! If nothing else, how about the maps, missions, and artwork? Yes, some can get very rail-roady, and I often let the players in on some of the backstory so they enjoy the story more.

I would really like to see some more regionalization out of PFS. In the LG days, it was very cool to travel and play mods you didn't already have access to. I also prefer to see some story arcs with recurring characters. We have a little of this in PFS, such as Grandmaster Torch or the Shadow Lodge, but this could be better developed.

Overall, I am very pleased that Paizo is running the show now!

Fascinating update, everyone. I am curious to see the effect of all this on LFR games at Orgins and Gen Con this year.

I am really impressed how Paizo takes care of its customers and gives us gamers what we want to see and play. I wish that the owners of the Dungeons and Dragons IP could have learned that lesson.

That was a great interactive- one of the best I have ever attended. Thank you all for running it!

Thanks for bringing up the topic of Command Undead feat. How long does the effect last? If it acts as the spell Control Undead, then it is minute per level. But then why does the feat description say that intelligent undead get a new save each DAY?

#7 Among the living. Set the first four encounters in the massive central room heh heh.

I ran several tables of #7 Among the Living over the weekend and we had a GREAT time. I used the "Theatre" flip mat and adapted the scenario for that map. It was easy, fast, and the players enjoyed themselves. The first party managed to trip three encounters in the first couple of rounds . . . (OOPS)

Thank you to everyone who ran games and to the brilliant writers who came up with the scenarios. They were all fantastic and I don't think I can single out a favorite. I agree that the noise was a problem.

The Drow adventure was chaotic, messy, violent, offensive, and I loved every minute of it. Especially because I ended up king (well, Queen, actually . . . .)
