Well, i´v come with a workaround. There is a tamplate from 3.5 that´s called Dark creture that´s very similar to the fetchling race:

Speed: As base creature, +10 feet to all modes of movement.
Special Qualities: A dark creature retains all the special
qualities of the base creature and also gains the following.
— Darkvision 60 ft.
— Hide in Plain Sight (Ex): Use the Hide skill even while
being observed (except in natural daylight, the area of a
daylight spell, or a similar ettect).
— Resistance to cold 10.
— Superior low-light vision.
Skills: Same as the base creature, plus Hide +8 and
Move Silently +6.
Environment: Changes to Plane of Shadow.
Challenge Rating: Same as the base creature or same as
the base creature +1; see sidebar.
Alignment: Usually one step different from the base
creature, rarely good.
Level Adjustment: +1.

It´s perfect for my purposes, plus hide in plain sight and stealth +6, covering all the other features. Is still a creature from the shado plane and i still keep the human feat. the level adjustment is paid from the 1st level of shadow dancer not being taken wich only gave me hide in plain sight, wich the tamplete already has. i think that i will continue the path of ninja afterwards!

thank u all for ur advice!

ps: any thought will be still welcome.

thanks for the link! incredibly similar post (except for aesthetics) thanks, very enlightening.

i might get my DM to accept a house rule, but i´d have to make a very strong case! that´s why i´m asking for help.

yeah, i know what u mean with the different angle thing, but why do u think that the shawod dancer doesn't seem to have exactly what i´m looking for?

do u remember where u saw the trickster character, becouse i´v looked for it, but i couldn´t find it.

thanks!

Immortal: i´v loked into the preformance feats but it was not of much use.
thanks anyway!!!

Mask: yeah! crossbow was my second choice, i may just do that, but i dont know, the setting is very firearm oriented...

Thanael: a magician friend of mine once told me:"some consider de ninjas the first prestidigitadors, with all their smoke bombs, vaniching and sleight of hand thing" and that´s pretty much what inspired this character in the first place. and for the ninja tricks i´d like to perform i´d need Ki pool, so...

for the other classes i have pictured more or less like this: this fetchling character, who´s from the shadow plane, comes to the material plane when very young, scaping from the slavery and servitude frome his home plane ("...While fetchlings are arguably the most populous race on the Shadow Plane, they rarely rule over their own kind; most serve as vassals or subjects to the great umbral dragons of their homeland, or the bizarre nihiloi who dwell in the deeper darkness. Above all, fetchlings are survivors...") and its dicovered by a human magician while diplaying great skill stealing in a market. he then becomes a magician himself and it through his studies that he awakens and discovers his bloodline powers (hence the sorcerer class). As for the shadowdancer class, which i have yet to apply, it only seemed natural that considering his past, bloodline and line of work he would develop that kind of bond with the shadows.

well, i hope this wasn´t too long. and i´d still like all your imput in alternative requirement for the class.

thanks!

thank u very much for ur imput. yeah, that´s pretty much the idea... what did u mean with "If you can take ranks in perform, stage magic and feats to apply it to combat"?
regarding the smoke bomb, as dark said: "It's not optimized but hot dang if it isn't flavorful" its more of the the point here... he´s a performer, not a fighter. (im still playing a combat oriented game, i know)

regardless, there is still the issue of qualifying for shadowdancer. i know that the whole idea of the requirments is to set a dificult or at least logical criteria for entering the class, kind of a "cost". however, i´d relly much like to play it a shadowdancer and those three feats are out of the question. my plan is to present mi DM with a solid case and i´d like ur advice for that.

the mayor points are:

the race: fetchlings
alternative requirements: feats, skills, class features (like sneak attack)
awasomeness: i think the charcater and the class are made for each other.

Thoughts welcome and thanks!

hi, im playing a 1880 guns-and-trains campaign. We are currently in what represents australia. I wanted to play a magician (not a conjurer, but a Critian bale/Edward Norton kind of magician) and i was thinking on making him a ninja class...

this is what i have so far:

ninja 4 levels smoke bomb and vanish tricks

sorcerer 1 level just for fun (shadow bloodline)

and then follow the shadowdancer prestige class...

the character is a fetchling : "Descended from humans trapped on the Shadow Plane, fetchlings are creatures of darkness and light intertwined."

http://www.d20pfsrd.com/races/other-races/featured-races/arg-fetchling

they have awasome stealth and great ninja synergy +2 dex, +2 char, +2 stealth and so on.

well, all this is great, but i have to mayor problems:

1. dont know which weapon to choose (i want him to be a sniper and use a firearm, but dont realy picture him with one)
2. as i said, i want him to be a sniper, but the shadowdancer class has Combat reflexes, dodge and mobility as prereq, which are obviously intended for a melee character)

ok, any advice or ideas of any kind will be much appreciated! thanks!

well, the plot goes like this:

"... there was a time when the gods saw that source of power threatened. Not because humans stopped believing in them or because they cease to worship them. There was, in that time, a god called (.....) that formed a particular strong bond with mortals. at first he was also worshiped and grew in power, in fact, more than most. But then he began to understand another truth, the true power that lies in every creature. And, instead of feeding from this power, he began to nourish it. Instead of taking, began to give. And, somehow, this made him more powerful. understood then that every being has a function and that beings that he believes somehow inferior, had capabilities that they did not have. Was then when he wanted to share what they had learned, but the world was not ready for that. The other gods, at least for the most part, took this as a threat. Then, a great battle between gods unleashed and this knowledge was buried for several ages. All mortals who knew this truth were persecuted and eliminated and with them all evidence of their existence. While the problem for the gods had come to an end (or so they sougth), there was a goddess, (.....) that became intrigued by the designs of (....). decided then help him scape, and hide in the material plane of Golarion, long before the gods take interest in it. And, for his power to lay unnoticed, he divided himself in several pieces, which were scattered across the world. When Aboleth led the Azlanti to glory, he passed on to one of them, a son he had with a Azlanti, (.....), the knowledge and responsibility to keep it hidden. So, the (......) was formed. Its aim was to prevent the slaughter from happening again..."

Though i like the idea, it seems rather complicated, but i dont know, i´d like to see it trough. Advice much appreciated. thanks.

well, actualy, its not really hiden, and its an object... several, in fact. they are like the philactery/pieces of another god... and are like hide in plain sight... so that´s why its knoledge what im concerned about... so, in this oraganization, there couldn´t be anyone who workships any god, becouse that would meke that god finding out, right?

there is also another thing i was thinking about... since the campaing its goning to be VERY god-focused (obviously), where would a god start to meddle with the affairs of PCs... (i was planing on having the gods awarding or punishing the PCs for their actions, subtly at first, and more as they grew in importance)

thank u both, that was very helpful. actualy, linconl, your description fits pretty well with what i was thinking about, but i guess that, also, every god has, or at least should have, unlmited, or otherwise very extended, knoledge of things minding his domains, as, for example, pharasma, Goddess of fate, death, prophecy, and birth, has complete knowledge of everyone´s fate from birth to death. so, i dont know, what do u think?

hi everyone,

i was making a campaign in which a god hide some information from other gods in the material plane and leaves the legacy of protecting that info to some mortals, which in turn form a secret world-wide organization. so, i was wondering, is that even posible?. i mean, how spread is the all-knowing power of the gods...?
