![]() I've got a pretty large gaming group, and sometimes its a pain to show a small hand drawn map to the whole group, much less other types of handouts, and I was thinking about getting a projector to blow those maps up to a larger size so everyone can clearly see them. I'm not interested in an HD movie projector, nor am I interested in a top-down projector for the battlemat, I just need something simple to throw a static image up on the wall or ceiling. Anyone ever tried one of those "toy" projectors like the Eyeclops? I'm curious as to how well something like that would work, or if it would be too fuzzy or faded to use for something like maps (that would have labels). My other idea was a wireless scan converter to just show images and maps on the large TV at the other end of the room. Any advice or experiences from anyone else? ![]()
![]() Anyone know of a good source for miniatures of Apemen? I've got a few of the Mageknight "Desert Ape" figures, and I've got a couple of DDM Orc minis that look more like apes than orcs, but aside from that, is there anything out there? I keep thinking there used to be a company that made a small line of minis of Apes in Roman style armor. ![]()
![]() I tried addressing the price of the print version of The Noble Wild in a thread in the product discussion forum, but never got an answer, so I figured I'd order it in order to get the ball rolling. Now after a week the book is still "pending". Can someone check on that and let me know what's going on? I figure the price on that is wrong, and I just want to be able to order the book, I don't mind if the price needs to be adjusted... ![]()
![]() Over on Enworld there's a thread about what to do if you're the CEO of Paizo...one of those "Where do you go from here" kind of threads. Many of you have probably seen it. In that thread (and others) I see a recurring theme from some posters that frankly terrifies me! Some say that they would like to see Paizo eventually move away from the 3E/OGL/D20 rules and come up with their own rule set that they can call their own. NO! Now, I know that inevitably we'll be faced with a Revised Pathfinder, or perhaps a 2E Pathfinder (hopefully FAR in the future), but please, I beg of you Paizo...don't abandon the 3E/d20 rules set! I can live with small tweaks and changes...but not with radical departures and entirely new systems. I like the rules we have, I really think its the best iteration of D&D yet, and I've been playing since OD&D. I really like having a game system that I play supported and not left by the wayside! Sure, if things change, I can keep using and playing with the books we have (and will be getting in the next couple of years), but this is it for me. I'm not jumping onto a new rollercoaster anymore. If Paizo does ever move onto a new system...won't it just fragment the community even further? Please, please, please Paizo, don't try to re-invent the wheel! Please? |
