One of the reasons I play Pathfinder is because it was a continuation of D&D with a better rule set. Not sure yet what I'm going to do in terms of jumping on board PF2 or not, but changing "lore" and re-concepting monsters to move further away from D&D and its traditions would be a definite turn off for me. I don't like having elements I'm used to having in the game taken away with a new edition. And yes, I know I can bring back and use whatever I want in my homebrew, but please, please don't start changing all the flavor and ret-conning monsters. (like the aforementioned Ankheg...I don't get renaming it at all).

Nope, nope, and double nope on Resonance. Doesn't fit my concept of the game I've been playing for over 30 years and I just don't like it! Others may love it, and that's cool, but for me...no go.

Not a deal breaker, because I can easily house-rule it out, but I don't like it at all. If you want to limit spamming of wands...then limit the availability of wands, or limit how often per day they can be used.

I have to say, I REALLY like this book. Some of the negative comments had me concerned that this one might be a PDF only, but after a quick review of the PDF, I definitely want the book too. I can see getting a lot of use out of it.

Lots of good stuff in here, and very good artwork throughout. I really like the Seasonal Witch (I think that's the name).

I have to chime in and say I really like this book! I was a little skeptical at first since I run a game set in my own homebrew world, but I can find plenty of uses for just about everything in there, regardless of it being Golarian specific.

I really like the appendices in the back with alternate "world neutral" names. That's a particularly nice touch!

Good job once again Paizo!

I think Mikaze makes a good overall point...I'd like to see more heroic "good" options for players as well. It's cool to play the anti-hero, but I'd like to see more "good guys".

I know pulp fantasy is filled with characters that are fairly self-serving, and often thieves, and that in the end they do the right thing...but I'd like to see some options and choices for folks that want to do good for good's sake, and have just as many tools and toys to play with as the bad guys and the anti-heroes.

My players often want to play Neutral (of some persuasion) characters just so they can act like they want to occasionally, and so they can use some of those "morally questionable" tools and tactics sometimes, but I'd love to have some mechanical encouragement for them to go the "good" route.

Ultimate Campaigns

A book on designing everything from adventures, to kindgoms/cultures, to worlds, to cosmologies, etc.

Still want to see a guide book on running high level adventures. Though I doubt you could squeeze a full hard cover out of it.

Ultimate Equipment, a complete guide to equipment, alchemical items, and magic items. Gonna be a 320 page book, and will be the big Gencon release next summer.

Of course, I'm sure everyone knows about the Rise of the Runelords hardback compilation...which will be updated fully to Pathfinder rules, have new artwork, and other new bits here and there.

Also strongly hinted at was a big NPC gallery type hardback.

Advanced Race Guide sounds really awesome too!

Psionics is still pretty far off, as is any kind of mythic/epic rules, but some kind of "high-level" campaign guide is moving closer and closer to the top of the list of books they want to do.

Miniatures are a big thing of course...with the first set in December, and then the big Rise of the Runelords set next June, which will include Huge and Gargantuan figures...including Rune Giants. Details on that are still unknown, but Wizkids is committing to doing it.

Miniature sets will be packaged in random, blind assortments, but there will also be specific sets of 6 or 8 that will be visible, and themed in particular ways (like a goblin warband). They will also be selling singles here on the Paizo site!
