My first time playing, along with most of the group. I was playing a barbarian raised as a pirate, since it was going to be a coastal game. My party was captured by pirate king after the party refused to let me ram his ship with ours (barbarian pirate captain an all).
We were thrown in jail cells. I eventually escaped, and let my friends free. They equipped their gear and wanted to wait around and plan, but I only had so much rage left. So I told the DM "I rampage in this direction while they plan. I destroy everything and kill every one I come across."
Unfortunetly, I didn't realize we were below sea level. After smashing through the inside of the hull with a cannonball I had found, water starts RUSHING in. I realize my mistake, and decide the only thing to do is keep going. I crawl my way out of the hole, and my party members (quite startled by all of this) manage to follow after me. Except the fighter in fullplate... He knew we were going to be on a ship, but insisted on wearing his fullplate.
And so, the party watched the pirate king's ship sink to the bottom of the sea, along with the fighter, and then swam to shore. Everyone thought it was funny, ingame and out.
I don't think I rolled less than 18 in that entire scenario.
