Was the creature able to best me, I am confident that you would have stepped in to protect my fallen form - in the full knowledge that the opponent you faced was a worthy advisory for you."

Then with a smile adds

Yes, any man may learn to fight. More important than skill at arms is knowing when to use violence after all other options have failed.

If the boy wishes to uphold his family's honor and help us track down the remaining bandits, I have no quarrel with that. But he looks to be in the mindset of giving orders instead of following them--if he can't work with us, we will all be at greater risk, Zuriel says to his companions before turning to look at the nobleman.

You need our help--your recent accomodations in the trunk prove this. So, can you work with us and follow orders? Or do we need to take you home before we hunt down the remaining brigands?

A good plan, if it comes to it, but we need to find out where they're hiding the boy. I've dealt with men such as these many times--the only thing they value more than gold is themselves, and they love an easy mark. Let's make them think they've got one. I've no skill in deception, but a pretty face can disarm many men. Why don't you tell them that Dame Lebeda sent us to find her lost son. That we are so grateful they found him and that, of course, we will reward them handsomely when they return him to us. The rest of us will pose as your men-at-arms. Once they bring the boy to us safely, well, if it comes to a fight your magic will be invaluable.

What do you guys think?

I agree--while such swordplay isn't suited to my tastes, you have to admire the man's dedication to such learning. If he possesses the discipline to learn such difficult techniques, there is hope that he could apply his studies to endeavors more helpful to his family. Let's go visit this smith.

Because gold is not a true measure of power--the Aspis only care about gold, and look what happened when you tried to rely on them for protection and assistance. The Pathfinder Society is about more than coin and treats their allies very well. With us you will still have wealth, but also security. We dispatched your guards easily enough, and we cannot be bought. And most importantly, with us you shall have the only thing that matters when long years have passed--your name will be written in the tales that are told long after you have perished from this realm. To be remembered and not forgotten, that is wealth beyond compare.

Whoops, missed that it was only once per day. I couldnt have used it earlier, then, so thatll give me one charge back on my IH wand. Zartrel, you want to summon something to go in first, or should we tie up and gag one of the survivors and wake him up with smelling salts? We could say stop and notify us nonverbally if there is a trap or guards up ahead or you're walkimg first into it. Something like that? What do you guys think?

GM Bold Strider, since we're playing up, do we get the Tier 4-5 items unlocked even if we're lower than 4th or 5th level? I know I'll get out of subtier gold, but I didn't know what the rule was for items.

Well, I already rolled and needed 3 charges, sadly, but those rolls would've saved me a charge. Dah well!

Cool! Zuriel will not press the issue further, hehe.

Zuriel bows his head and stands next to the eidolon. I am honored to stand beside your friend, and she is lucky to have one such as you protecting her, he says to Zartrel.

Then, to the others: Our foes are deadly, and well-organized. We must dispatch them quickly, but if we can dissuade Zamir from attacking us, we should try. Remember, we are tasked with convincing him to switch his allegiance to the Society.

GM, that doesn't take into account my Shawl. So if I have 15 HP while bloodraging and get crit for 28, that puts me to -13. Does my shawl kick in then, bringing me to -3 (and then -9 from loss of bloodrage). Or would I have died before my shawl gave me the 10 hp? I believe I get the HP first. Either way, would've been bad, lol.

Zuriel relieves the bandits of their weapons and retrieves his dropped claw, after everyone is healed.

2 infernal healings and...

1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

So with 2 infernal healings and 3 CLW charges this battle, that puts me at 7 charges of my infernal healing wand and 4 charges of my CLW wand. If anyone wants to donate some charges to me, I'll take 'em. ;-) I have 6/10 rounds of BR remaining and 2/3 destined strikes remaining.

If we can get all healed and regrouped with no one further attacking us...

Zuriel stows his other gear and weapons (But I'll keep my IH and CLW wands with Zartrel and Mumbly, respectively) and draws his bardiche, ready to press on.

Your...creature escaped unscathed from the battle, Zuriel says to Zartrel.

Should we send her in first?

Technically I had 6 more HP because I was raging, but yeah, that could've been bad.

Zuriel calms himself (End bloodrage--fatigued for 4 rounds) and crouches next to Jhon, drawing a small vial and opening it under his nose.

Friend, are you still with us?

5 ft step, move to retrieve smelling salts, standard to wake him up. Now you can drink your potion if the healers can't reach you in time.

I say we huddle up after we stabilize Jhon and heal our wounds before we explore any further. I'm in serious need of healing, as are most of us.

Kenji moves up to the wall and gives Mumblypeg a boost, trying to help him up the wall.

AA on the climb check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

Ragnar, I charged the archer with Zuriel because I saw that you have precise shot, so if he's still alive I'm sure you can drop him. BTW--do you have a leopard AC? We could definitely use the backup here, lol.

Zuriel nods at Zartrel as his spell fells the archer. The half-elf takes off at a run, vaulting the distance across the two wall sections to attack the foe near Jhon's prone form.

Charge

Acrobatics long jump: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

Flail attack, bloodrage, charge, power attack vs green guy: 1d20 + 6 + 2 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 2 + 2 - 1 = 17

Damage, bloodrage, power attack: 1d8 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 5 + 2 = 15

AC = 14
